Özet

Bu araştırma, sporcu kimliği ile boyun eğici davranışları arasındaki ilişkiyi bazı (cinsiyet, yaş, okul türü, spor türüne, sporculuk yaşı, aile gelir durumu, anne eğitim düzeyi, baba eğitim düzeyi) demografik değişkenler açısından incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklem grubu 2022-2023 eğitim öğretim yılında Adana ili Yüreğir ilçesindeki ortaöğretim okullarında öğrenim gören ve okul sporları organizasyonlarına katılan 154 erkek 126 kadın sporcu öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Çalışma verilerinin elde edilmesinde kişisel bilgi formunun yanı sıra“Sporcu Kimliği Ölçeği”ve“Boyun Eğici Davranışlar Ölçeği”kullanılmıştır. Ölçekler çalışmayı yürüten kişi tarafından yüz yüze anket tekniği ile uygulanmıştır. Çalışma genel tarama yöntemi ile yürütülmüştür. Yapılan analizler sonucunda Sporcu Kimliği toplam puanında cinsiyete, sporculuk yaşına, okul türüne, anne eğitim düzeyine ve spor türüne gruplar arasında anlamlı farklılık olduğu saptanmıştır. Sporcu kimliği ölçeği toplam puanında ise baba eğitim düzeyine, algılanan aile gelir durumuna ve yaşa göre gruplar arasında anlamlı farklılık olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca, Boyun Eğici Davranışlar Ölçeği toplam puanında cinsiyet, okul türü, sporculuk yaşı göre, anne eğitim düzeyi, baba eğitim düzeyi, spor türü ve yaş açısından gruplar arasında anlamlı farklılık olmadığı ortaya çıkmıştır. Ancak algılanan aile gelir durumu açısından gruplar arasında anlamlı farklılık tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca, sporcu Kimliği Ölçeği toplam puan ve alt boyut puanları ile Boyun Eğici Davranış Ölçeği puanları arasında çok zayıf pozitif yönde ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak; sporcu kimliği ile boyun eğici davranışlar arasında zayıf düzeyde pozitif anlamlı ilişki bulunmuştur.

This study was conducted to examine the relationship between athlete identity and submissive behaviors in terms of some demographic variables (gender, age, school type, sport type, age of athlete, family income status, mother's education level, father's education level). The sample group of the study consisted of 154 male and 126 female athlete students who were studying in secondary schools in Yüreğir district of Adana province in the 2022-2023 academic year and participated in school sports organizations. In addition to the personal information form,“Athlete Identity Scale”and“Submissive Behaviors Scale”were used to obtain the study data. The scales were applied by the person conducting the study with face-to-face survey technique. The study was conducted with the general survey method. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that there was a significant difference between the groups according to gender, age of athlete, school type, mother's education level and sport type in the total score of Athlete Identity.In the total score of the Athlete Identity Scale, it was determined that there was no significant difference between the groups according to father's education level, perceived family income and age. In addition, in the total score of the Submissive Behaviors Scale, it was found that there was no significant difference between the groups in terms of gender, school type, age of athlete, mother's education level, father's education level, sport type and age. However, a significant difference was found between the groups in terms of perceived family income status. In addition, it was determined that there was a very weak positive relationship between the total score and sub-dimension scores of the Athlete Identity Scale and the scores of the Submissive Behavior Scale. As a result, a weak positive significant relationship was found between athlete identity and submissive behaviors.
