Özet
Bu araştırmada, biyoloji öğretmenlerinin çevre konularına yönelik etkinlik geliştirme süreçlerinin cinsiyet, yaş grupları ve lise türü açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma durum çalışması olarak tasarlanmıştır. Çalışma grubu Ankara ilinde bulunan liselerde görev yapan farklı kademelerde görev yapan (9., 10. ve 11. Sınıf) biyoloji öğretmenleri oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan açık uçlu anket soruları belirlenmiştir. Anket sonuçları doğrultusunda öğretmenlerin cevapları analiz edilerek, kategori ve kodlar oluşturulmuştur. Verilerin frekans ve yüzde değerleri hesaplanıp tablolar halinde sunulmuştur. Araştırma bulguları incelendiğinde biyoloji öğretmenlerinin çevre konularına yönelik etkinliklere ilişkin görüşlerinin en çok öğrenci aktifliği sağlaması, sınıf düzeyine uygun olması, öğrencinin yaşadığı bölgeye uygunluk sağlamasına ve bilinçli birey yetiştirmesini şeklinde saptanmıştır. Çevre konularına yönelik etkinliklerin uygulanması öğrencilerde çevre bilinci oluşturduğu, çevreye duyarlı olmalarını sağladığı aynı zamanda aktif katılım sağlayarak bilgileri somutlaştırıp kalıcı öğrenme sağladığını gözlemlenmiştir. Biyoloji öğretmenlerinin derslerinde çevre konularına yönelik etkinlikleri kullanmasının öğretmenlere konu ile ilgili farkındalık yaratması, programlı ders aktivitesi sağlaması ve soyut kavramları somutlaştırarak dersin öğretimini kolaylaştırmasının sonucu ortaya çıkmıştır. Öğretmenlerin çevre konularına yönelik etkinlik hazırlamalarında en çok su kirliliğine değineceği ve güncel çevre sorunları içermesi gerektiği aynı zamanda bilinçli birey yetiştirme konusunda ortak bir düşünceye vardıkları gözlemlenmiştir. Biyoloji ders kitapları açısından incelendiğinde etkinlik sayısının az olması, yetersiz ve öğrenciye hitap etmemesi ön plana çıktığı gözlemlenmiştir. Bu nedenle ders kitaplarındaki etkinlik sayısı arttırılıp daha verimli hale getirilmelidir.

In this research, it was aimed to examine the processes of biology teachers in developing activities on environmental issues in terms of gender, age groups and high school type. The research was designed as a case study. The study group consisted of biology teachers at different levels (9st, 10nd and 11rd grade) working in high schools in Ankara. Open-ended survey questions prepared by the researcher were determined as the data collection tool in the study. In line with the survey results, teachers' answers were analyzed and categories and codes were created. Frequency and percentage values of the data were calculated and presented in tables. When the research findings were examined, it was determined that the opinions of biology teachers regarding activities related to environmental issues were that they should ensure student activity, be appropriate to the grade level, be suitable for the region where the student lives, and raise conscious individuals. It has been observed that the implementation of activities on environmental issues creates environmental awareness in students, enables them to be sensitive to the environment, and also provides permanent learning by concretizing knowledge by providing active participation. It has emerged that biology teachers' use of activities related to environmental issues in their lessons raises teachers' awareness about the subject, provides scheduled lesson activities, and facilitates the teaching of the course by concretizing abstract concepts. It has been observed that teachers mostly focus on water pollution when preparing activities on environmental issues and that they should include current environmental problems, and that they also come to a common idea about raising conscious individuals. When biology textbooks are examined, it is observed that the number of activities is low, they are insufficient and they do not appeal to the students. For this reason, the number of activities in textbooks should be increased and made more efficient.
