Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı, farklı türlerdeki okullarda öğrenim gören lise öğrencilerinin tarihe merakları ve tarih dersine olan tutumlarının incelenmesidir. Çalışmada karma araştırma yöntemlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Tarih tutumunun ölçülmesinde nicel araştırma tekniklerinden yararlanılmıştır. Tarih merakı ise nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden yararlanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Mersin İli Erdemli İlçesi sınırları içerisinde olan, Erdemli Borsa İstanbul Fen Lisesi, Erdemli Anadolu Lisesi, Erdemli Arpaçbahşiş Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi, Erdemli TED Mersin Koleji ve Erdemli Anadolu İmam Hatip Lisesinde öğrenim gören öğrenciler araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmaktadır. Elde edilen verilere göre, bütün okullardaki araştırma örneklemine dahil olan öğrencilerin Tarih Dersi Tutum Ölçek puan ortalaması 68,89 olmuştur. Araştırma örneklemine dahil olan Erdemli Borsa İstanbul Fen Lisesi öğrencilerinin Tarih Dersi Tutum Ölçek puanının, çalışmaya katılan Erdemli Anadolu İmam Hatip Lisesi öğrencilerine göre daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Erdemli TED Mersin Kolejinde çalışmaya katılan 12.sınıf öğrencilerinin Tarih Dersi Tutum Ölçek puanı yine aynı okuldaki 9.sınıf, 10.sınıf ve 11. sınıfta öğrenim gören öğrencilere göre daha yüksektir. Araştırma örneklemine dahil olan Erdemli Borsa İstanbul Fen Lisesinde, Erdemli Anadolu Lisesinde ve Erdemli Arpaçbahşiş MTA Lisesinde öğrenim gören erkek öğrencilerin Tarih Dersi Tutum Ölçek puanlarının kız öğrencilere göre daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Analiz sonuçlarına göre aylık ortalama hane geliri, anne ve baba eğitim durumu grupları arasında çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerde Tarih Dersi Tutum Ölçek puanı bakımından istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulunmamaktadır. Erdemli Anadolu İmam Hatip Lisesinde araştırma örneklemine dahil olan ve çekirdek ailede yaşayan öğrencilerin Tarih Dersi Tutum Ölçek puanının, geniş ailede yaşayan öğrencilere göre daha yüksek olduğu bulunmuştur. Tarih merakına geldiğimizde, uygulama yaptığımız lise öğrencileri genel olarak lider karakterleri (padişahlar, krallar, imparatorlar ve devlet yöneticileri), lider karakterlerin yaşamlarını ve yaşadıkları olayların geçtiği mekânları özellikle de dünya tarihinde vuku bulmuş savaşları yoğun olarak merak etmektedir. En çok merak edilen tarihi olaylar yine merak ettikleri tarihi kişiler ve lider karakterle ilişkilidir. Lise öğrencileri en çok askeri olayları, bu olaylarla ilgili savaşları ve siyasi tarih konularını merak etmektedirler. Lise öğrencilerinin en çok merak ettiği tarihi mekânlarda Göbeklitepe cevabı ilk sırada yer almıştır. Ayrıca Ayasofya, Çanakkale, Topkapı Sarayı, Piramitler ve daha birçok tarihi mekân da merak konusu olmuştur. Merak edilen tarihi dönemlere geldiğimizde, en çok merak edilen tarihi karakter ve tarihi olaylarla ilişkili olduğunu söyleyebiliriz. Araştırma örneklemine dahil olan lise öğrencilerinin en çok merak ettikleri tarihi dönemlerin Osmanlı Devleti, Ortaçağ ve Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin Kuruluşu ile ilgili olan tarihi dönemler olduğu görülmektedir. Tarih içerikli diziler konusuna geldiğimizde, tarihten konu alan, tarihin bir dönemini anlatan tarih içerikli dizilerin araştırma örneklemine dahil olan lise öğrencilerinin tarih merakında önemli bir rolü olduğu belirlenmiştir. Son olarak“Tarih ile ilgili başka neyi merak ediyorsunuz?”sorusuna çalışmaya dahil olan öğrenciler, ders kitaplarının doğru olup olmadığını, Eskiçağ icat ve teknolojilerini, eski insanların yaşamını ve tarihteki savaşları merak ettiklerini ifade etmişlerdir.

The purpose of this research is to examine the interest in history and attitudes of high school students studying in different types of schools. Mixed research methods were used in the study. Quantitative research techniques were used to measure the historical attitude. His interest in history was analyzed by using qualitative research methods. Students studying at Erdemli Borsa İstanbul Science High School, Erdemli Anatolian High School, Erdemli Arpacbahşiş Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, Erdemli TED Mersin College and Erdemli Anatolian Imam Hatip High School, which are within the borders of Erdemli District of Mersin, constitute the sample of the research. According to the data obtained, the History Lesson Attitude Scale score average of the students included in the research sample in all schools was 68.89. It was determined that the History Lesson Attitude Scale score of the Erdemli Borsa İstanbul Science High School students included in the research sample was higher than the Erdemli Anatolian Imam Hatip High School students participating in the study. History Lesson Attitude Scale score of the 12th grade students included in the research sample at Erdemli TED Mersin College is higher than the 9th grade, 10th grade and 11th grade students in the same school. It was determined that the History Lesson Attitude Scale scores of male students studying at Erdemli Borsa İstanbul Science High School, Erdemli Anatolian High School and Erdemli Arpaçbahşiş MTA High School included in the research sample were higher than female students. According to the results of the analysis, there is no statistically significant difference between the groups of average monthly household income and educational status of mother and father in terms of History Lesson Attitude Scale score. History Lesson Attitude Scale score of students living in nuclear family at Erdemli Anatolian Imam Hatip High School was found to be higher than students living in extended families. When we come to the curiosity of history, the high school students we practice are intensely curious about the leading characters (sultans, kings, emperors and state administrators), the lives of the leading characters and the places where the events took place, especially the wars. The most curious historical events are also related to the historical people and characters they are curious about. High school students are most curious about military events, wars related to these events, and political history. The answer to Göbeklitepe took the first place in the historical places that high school students are most curious about. In addition, Hagia Sophia, Çanakkale, Topkapı Palace, Pyramids and many other historical places have also been a matter of curiosity. When we come to the curious historical periods, we can say that it is related to the most curious historical characters and historical events. It is seen that the historical periods that the high school students included in the research sample are most curious about are the historical periods related to the Ottoman Empire, the Middle Ages and the Establishment of the Republic of Turkey. When we come to the subject of historical TV series, it has been determined that historical TV series, which are about history and describe a period of history, have an important role in the history curiosity of high school students included in the research sample. Finally,“What else are you curious about history?”The students included in the research sample to the question stated that they were curious about whether the textbooks were correct, ancient inventions and technologies, the life of ancient people and wars in history.
