Objective: The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of repetitive simulation on developing nursing students' social justice advocacy attitudes and skills. Method: The research is a randomized controlled experimental single-blind study with a pretest-posttest control group design, and was conducted with 4th year intern students of the Faculty of Nursing between March and June 2023, at the Ege University Faculty of Nursing Public Health Skills Laboratory and Medical Education Department Simulated Patient Laboratory. was conducted (CTN: NCT05966181). The population of the research consisted of 4th grade intern students (N = 283) who studied at Ege University Faculty of Nursing in the 2022-2023 academic year and completed their theoretical education on vocational courses. 48 students who volunteered to participate in the study were randomly assigned to the intervention (24) and control groups (24), and a total of five students could not continue the study and were excluded from the study. The research was completed with a total of 43 students, including the intervention group (n = 21) and the control group (n = 22). According to the post-hoc power analysis conducted after the study; For a total sample number of 43, the power of the study was found to be 99.6% with a 5% margin of error and the determined effect size (η2:0.593). Repeated simulation (standard patient simulation in line with the scenarios) was applied to the students in the intervention group and a single simulation (standard patient simulation in line with the scenarios) was applied to the control group. In the study, Introductory Information Form, Social Justice Advocacy Scale and Social Justice Advocacy Skill Assessment Guide were used to collect data. Data, descriptive statistics, chi-square, independent sample T test, dependent sample T test, Mann Whitney U test, Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, ANOVA, Friedman test, Bonferroni Dunn, Intention to Treat Analysis, Spearman correlation, Regression analysis and ICC coefficient. It was calculated with . Effect size was evaluated with Cohen's d (95% CI) and eta-squared (η2). Statistical significance level was accepted as p<0.05. Results: The ages of the intervention and control group students ranged between 21 and 27, and the average age was 23.21±1.25. When looking at the change in SASÖ total scores of the intervention group students over time, it was determined that there was a difference between the pre-test, mid-test and post-test total scores (p < 0.05), and the effect size was found to be strong. When looking at the change in SASÖ total scores of the control group students over time, it was determined that there was a difference between the pre-test and post-test total scores (p < 0.05) and the effect size was strong. The SASÖ posttest total score average of the intervention group students is higher than the control group's average score (p<0.05) and the effect size is strong. A statistically significant difference was detected between the Social Justice Advocacy Skills Assessment Guide total score medians of the intervention and control group students (p<0.05), and the effect size (d:3.375) was determined to be strong. While a positive, moderately significant relationship was found between social justice advocacy attitudes and social justice advocacy skills after repeated simulation in the intervention group students, such a relationship was not determined in the control group. It was determined that repeated simulation was 19.33 times more effective than single simulation in the development of students' social justice advocacy attitudes and skills. Conclusion: The simulation-based training program created within the framework of developing students' social justice advocacy attitudes and skills is effective; It is seen that the social justice advocacy attitudes of both intervention and control group students are positively affected and the effect is stronger in the intervention group. It has been determined that repeated simulation is more effective than a single simulation in the development of students' social justice advocacy skills.
