Özet
Biyolojik açıdan birbirinden ayrılan birey, hormonal ve anatomik değişimlere göre kadın veya erkek cinsiyetlerine sahip olmaktadır. Toplumsal cinsiyet ise biyolojik cinsiyetin aksine toplumun bu cinsiyetlere atfettiği rolleri, tavırları, davranışları, sorumlukları ifade etmektedir. Öğretmen, bireylerde etki bırakan önemli bir değişkendir. Eğitimin kritik dönemlerinden biri olan ilkokul döneminde, sınıf öğretmenlerinin toplumsal cinsiyet farkındalığına, duyarlılığına sahip olması oldukça önemlidir. Birçok toplumda olduğu gibi Türkiye'de de toplumsal cinsiyet konusu gündemini kaybetmeyen bir konudur. Bu araştırmada da gündemini kaybetmeyen bu konunun sınıf öğretmeni adaylarındaki algısı incelenmektedir. Araştırmanın amacı sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının toplumsal cinsiyet algısının incelemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda nicel paradigma benimsenmiştir. Nicel paradigmalardan tarama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemi 2022-2023 eğitim-öğretim yılında İstanbul'da bulunan vakıf ve devlet üniversitelerindeki sınıf öğretmen adaylarıdır. Araştırmaya 279 kadın, 165 erkek olmak üzere 444 sınıf öğretmeni adayı katılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri“Kişisel Bilgi Formu”ile“Toplumsal Cinsiyet Algısı Ölçeği”(TCAÖ) ile toplanmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen veriler Mann-Whithney U Testi ile Kruskal-Wallis H Testi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın geçerlik ve güvenirliği uygulanan ters sonucunda %94 olarak saptanmıştır ve bu istenilen düzeydedir. Bu test sonucu, araştırmanın geçerlik ve güvenirliliğini sağladığını ifade etmektedir. Araştırmanın sonucunda, sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının toplumsal cinsiyet algılarının orta düzeyde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının TCAÖ'den aldıkları puanlarla cinsiyet, aile tipi, mezun olunan lise, baba çalışma durumu, ailenin ekonomik durumu değişkenleri arasında anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu; medeni durum, sınıf düzeyi, erkek kardeş sayısı, kadın kardeş sayısı, anne eğitim düzeyi, baba eğitim düzeyi, anne çalışma durumu, çocukluklarının çoğunu geçirdikleri yerleşim birimi, ikamet edilen yer, coğrafi bölge değişkenleri ile arasında anlamlı bir farklılık olmadığı sonucuna varılmıştır.

Biologically distinct individuals have male or female genders depending on hormonal and anatomical changes. Gender, on the other hand, refers to the roles, attitudes, behaviors and responsibilities that society attributes to these genders, unlike biological sex. Teacher is an important variable that leaves an impact on individuals. It is very important for classroom teachers to have gender awareness and sensitivity during the primary school period, which is one of the critical periods of education. As in many societies, gender is an issue that does not lose its agenda in Turkey. In this research, the perception of classroom teacher candidates on this issue, which does not lose its agenda, is examined. The aim of the research is to examine the gender perception of classroom teacher candidates. For this purpose, the quantitative paradigm was adopted. The scanning method, one of the quantitative paradigms, was used. The sample of the research is classroom teacher candidates at foundation and state universities in Istanbul in the 2022-2023 academic year. 444 classroom teacher candidates, 279 female and 165 male, participated in the research. The data of the research were collected with the“Personal Information Form”and the“Gender Perception Scale”(TCAÖ). The data obtained in the study were analyzed using the Mann-Whithney U Test and Kruskal-Wallis H Test. The validity and reliability of the research was found to be 94% as a result of the reverse test, which is at the desired level. This test result indicates that the research ensures validity and reliability. As a result of the research, it was determined that the gender perceptions of classroom teacher candidates were at a medium level. It was determined that there was a significant difference between the scores obtained by the classroom teacher candidates from TCAÖ and the variables of gender, family type, high school graduated, father's employment status, and economic status of the family; It was concluded that there was no significant difference between the variables of marital status, class level, number of brothers, number of female siblings, mother's education level, father's education level, mother's employment status, the settlement where they spent most of their childhood, place of residence, and geographical region.
