Özet
İnsan hayatının en mühim mefhumlarından, olmazsa olmazlarından sağlık; fiziksel ve ruhsal yanıyla bireyi ilgilendirdiği kadar toplumları da ilgilendiren mühim bir konudur. Özellikle dünya genelinde yaşayan insanların sağlığını tehdit eden pandemik hastalıkların tarihte büyük felaketlere neden olduğu bilinmektedir. Özelde bireysel, genelde toplumsal yaşamın odak noktasını oluşturan sağlık; edebî eserlerin vazgeçilmez temalarından olmuştur. Bilhassa hastalık, roman yazarlarına geniş bir tahkiye imkânı sunmuş; romanlara bir işlevsellik katmıştır. Eserlerde çoğu zaman acının, ağrının kişiselliğiyle dikkatler hastalıkla cedelleşen öznenin üzerine çekilirken bazen de hastalık, toplumu ilgilendiren bir mesele arz eder. Roman, kolektif hafızanın izlerini sürmenin mümkün olduğu bir türdür ve romanlardaki sağlık teması da gerek bireysel gerekse sosyal yanıyla bir dönemin toplumsal, kültürel ve ekonomik şartları hakkında veriler sunmaktadır.“1938-1950 Arası Türk Romanında Sağlık”adlı bu tez ,“Giriş”ve“Sonuç”dışında üç ana bölümden müteşekkildir. Sağlık kavramının içine giren tüm unsurların belirlenen romanlarda tespit edilmesiyle başlanan çalışmada sağlığın en geniş cephesini oluşturan hastalık olgusu ve onun etrafında teşekkül eden sağlık çalışanları, ilaç gibi unsurların romandaki rolü değerlendirmeye tabi tutulmuş; yazarların bu temayı ele almaktaki amaçları ve ele alış biçimleri incelenmiştir. Ayrıca romanlara yansıyan sağlık unsurlarının tarihsel gerçekliğini sorgulamak adına romanların aktüel zamanı ile yazıldığı döneme dair araştırmalar yapılarak birtakım tespitler ortaya konmuştur. Sonuç olarak yazarların perspektifinden ve edebiyatı vasıta kılarak çalışmanın aralığını oluşturan yıllardaki sağlık algısı gösterilmeye çalışılmıştır.

One of the most important concepts and indispensable elements of human life of human life, health is an important issue that concerns societies as much as it concerns the individual with its physical and spiritual side. It is known that pandemic diseases, which especially threaten the health of people living around the world, have caused great disasters in history. Health, which forms the focal point of individual life in particular and social life in general, has been one of the indispensable themes of literary works. In particular, the disease has offered a wide arbitration opportunity to novel authors; it has added a structural functionality to novels. In the works, attention is often drawn to the subject that is related to the disease with the personality of pain and pain, while sometimes the disease is an issue that concerns society. The novel is a genre in which it is possible to trace the traces of collective memory, and the theme of health in the novels also provides data about the social, cultural and economic conditions of a period, both individually and socially. This thesis, entitled“Health in the Turkish Novel Between 1938-1950”, consists of three main sections other than“Introduction”and“Conclusion”. In the study, which started by identifying all the elements that fall into the concept of health in the identified novels, the phenomenon of disease, which constitutes the broadest front of health, and the health workers who formed around it, the role of elements such as medicine in the novel was evaluated; the authors' goals and ways of dealing with this theme were examined. In addition, in order to question the historical reality of the health elements reflected in the novels, some determinations have been revealed by conducting research on the current time of the novels and the period in which they were written. As a result, it has been tried to show the perception of health in the years that constitute the period of the study from the perspective of the authors and by using literature as a tool.
