Özet
Karl Popper'in tezin içinde geçen bilimsel kuramı yanlışlanabilirliğin temel özellikleri yer yer maddeler hâlinde sıralanmıştır. Yanlışlanabilirliğe yönelik eleştirilerden kısaca bahsedildikten sonra, tezin ana konusu VAR Sisteminin daha kolay anlaşılması sağlanmaya çalışılmıştır. Tezin ikinci bölümünde futbola dair temel bilgilere yer verilmiş, VAR Sisteminin çeşitli tanımları, amaçları, temel özellikleri ve devreye girdiği pozisyonlara ek olarak uygulandığı / uygulanmadığı ligler, kupalar, organizasyonlar, maçlar vs. tablolar eşliğinde başlangıç yılları ile belirtilmiştir. Premier League'de oynanan toplam 19 müsabaka“Seyrini VAR'ın Değiştirdiği Maçlar”başlığı altında örneklem olarak alınmıştır.“VAR'a ilişkin Genel Görüşler: Kim, Ne Dedi”başlığında ise spor camiasının önde gelen üç ismiyle yüz yüze yapılan röportajlar yer almıştır.“Yanlışlanabilirlik Kuramı ve VAR Sistemi”adı verilen dördüncü bölümde, kuram ve sistem arasında yanlışlanabilirlik ve yanlışlama açısından kurulan benzerliklerin yanı sıra doğrulanabilirlik ve doğrulama açısından farklılıklar ve uygulama aşamasında doğan farklılıklar kaleme alınmıştır. Kuramın sisteme, sistemin kurama bakış açısı açıklanmış, kuram ve sistem ortak yönleri aracılığıyla birleştirilmiştir. Tez ile aynı adı (Karl Popper'in Bilimsel Kuramı Yanlışlanabilirlik Açısından VAR Sisteminin Değerlendirilmesi) taşıyan beşinci ve son bölümde, saptanan bulgular dört ara başlıkta ifade edilmiş, ardından gelen tartışma bölümünde tez, birtakım argümanlarla temellendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Tezin son sayfalarını oluşturan sonuç bölümünde ise kuramın sisteme uygun bir yapı çizdiği savı nedenleriyle anlatılarak, kuram ile sistem arasındaki sıkı ilişkinin varlığı gözler önüne serilmiştir.

The basic features of Karl Popper's scientific theory of falsifiability, which is mentioned in the thesis, are listed as items. After briefly mentioning the criticisms against falsifiability, the main subject of the thesis, the VAR System, is tried to be understood more easily. In the second part of the thesis, basic information about football is given, various definitions of the VAR System, its purposes, basic features and the positions where it is activated, as well as the leagues, cups, organizations, matches, etc. where it is / is not applied, are indicated with the starting years accompanied by tables. A total of 19 matches played in the Premier League were taken as a sample under the title“Matches where VAR changed the course”.“General Opinions on VAR: Who Said What”is based on face-to-face interviews with three prominent figures in the sports community. In the fourth section, titled“Falsifiability Theory and VAR System”, the similarities between the theory and the system in terms of falsifiability and falsification, as well as the differences in terms of verifiability and verification, and the differences arising during the implementation phase are written. The perspective of the theory on the system and the system on the theory is explained, and the theory and the system are unified through their commonalities. In the fifth and final chapter, which bears the same name as the thesis (Evaluation of the VAR System in terms of Karl Popper's Scientific Theory of Karl Popper's Falsifiability), the findings are expressed under four subheadings, and in the discussion section that follows, the thesis is tried to be justified with some arguments. In the conclusion section, which constitutes the last pages of the thesis, the argument that the theory draws a structure suitable for the system is explained with reasons and the existence of a close relationship between the theory and the system is revealed.
