Özet
Ders kitapları, eğitim ve öğretimde uzun bir geçmişe sahiptir ve teknolojinin ilerlemesiyle birlikte yeni öğretim modelleri ortaya çıkmış olmasına rağmen, ders kitapları hala önemli bir materyal olarak varlığını sürdürmektedir. Bir ders kitabının amaç, işlev ve içerik açılarından özenle hazırlanması ve belirli kriterlere uygun olarak yazılması gerekmektedir. Bu kriterlere uygun olarak tasarlanmış bir ders kitabı, eğitim kalitesini artırmanın yanı sıra öğrencinin öğrenme isteğini yükseltir ve öğretmenin iş yükünü azaltır. Özel eğitim ders kitapları da benzer şekilde, bireysel öğrenme ihtiyaçlarını karşılamak amacıyla hazırlanan materyallerdir. Bu kitaplar, öğrencilerin özel ihtiyaçlarına uygun şekilde tasarlandığında daha etkili ve verimli bir öğrenme deneyimi sağlar. Bireysel öğrenme hızı, tarzı ve ihtiyaçları dikkate alınarak hazırlanan bu kitaplar, öğrencilere daha derinlemesine anlama, pekiştirme ve öğrenme fırsatları sunar. Bu nedenle, özel eğitim ders kitapları, geleneksel ders kitaplarına göre daha kişiselleştirilmiş bir öğrenme deneyimi sunabilme potansiyeline sahip olmalıdır. Bu tez çalışmasında Özel Eğitim Meslek Okulu Sosyal Hayat ders kitabının çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu araştırma nitel bir araştırma olup, yöntem olarak doküman analizi yapılarak oluşturulmuştur. Araştırmada ders kitabının derinlemesine incelenmesi yapılarak, ders kitabının tamamı incelenmiştir. Ders kitabı inceleme planı iki alan uzmanından görüş alınarak, sekiz kategori belirlenmiştir. Kitabın genel tasarım ve düzeni, içerik düzeni, ölçme ve değerlendirme faaliyetleri, kazanım ve içeriğin birbiriyle uyumu, öğretim programıyla uyumu, görsellerle metinlerin uyumunu, öğrenme-öğretme süreci ve içeriğinin dil ve anlatım yönünden incelenmesi araştırmacı tarafından analiz edilerek veriler toplanmıştır. Gerekli literatürü inceleyerek bilgi eksikliğinden arınık ve dokümanlara hâkim bir şekilde analize başlanmıştır. Kitabın belli bir bölümü değil tüm bölümleri sistematik bir şekilde incelenerek örneklem yanlılığından kaçınılmaya çalışılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler sonucunda ders kitabının değerlendirilmesi alan yazını araştırılarak benzer çalışmalarla karşılaştırılarak yapılmıştır. Araştırmada incelenen kitabın kelime bulutu ile ünite içerikleri incelendiğinde konu ile bütünlük sağlayan içeriğe uygun kelimelerin sık tekrar edildiği görülmüştür. Organizasyon şeması, kaynakça ve cevap anahtarı bölümlerine ders kitabında yer verilmediği görülmektedir. Program ile kitap arasında tema ve içerik açısından sayısal bir denge olmadığı görülmektedir. Ders kitaplarındaki ölçme ve değerlendirme çalışmalarına ilişkin yapılan diğer araştırmalarda da ders kitaplarının tema sonu ölçme ve değerlendirme bölümlerindeki soruların, bilişsel alanın bilgi basamağında yoğunlaştığı görülmüştür. Bu durum özel eğitim öğrencilerinin seviyeleri göz önüne alındığında olumlu olarak değerlendirilmektedir. Ancak ölçme değerlendirme ile ilgili etkinliklerin arttırılması daha faydalı olabileceği düşünülmektedir. Bu çalışma sonucunda özel eğitim sosyal hayat ders kitabının yeniden revize edilmesine yönelik çalışmaların yapılmasının uygun olacağı düşünülmektedir. Araştırma bulguları ile mevcut alan yazın tartışılarak, ders kitabı hazırlayanlara yönelik öneriler ve öğretmenlere yönelik öneriler sunulmuştur.

Textbooks have a long history in education and training, and although new teaching models have emerged with the advancement of technology, textbooks still remain an important material. A textbook should be carefully prepared in terms of purpose, function, and content and should be written in accordance with certain criteria. A textbook designed in accordance with these criteria not only improves the quality of education but also increases the student's desire to learn and reduces the teacher's workload. Similarly, special education textbooks are materials prepared to meet individual learning needs. These books provide a more effective and efficient learning experience when they are designed to suit the specific needs of students. These books, which are prepared by taking into account individual learning speed, style, and needs, provide students with opportunities for deeper understanding, reinforcement, and learning. Therefore, special education textbooks should have the potential to provide a more personalized learning experience than traditional textbooks. In this thesis study, it is aimed to analyse the Social Life textbook of Special Education Vocational School in terms of various variables. This research is qualitative, and the methodology is based on document analysis. In the study, the textbook was analyzed in depth, and the whole textbook was examined. The textbook review plan was analyzed by taking the opinions of two field experts, and eight categories were determined. The researcher analyzed the general design and layout of the book, the content layout, assessment and evaluation activities, the compatibility of achievements and content, the compatibility with the curriculum, the compatibility of visuals and texts, the learning-teaching process, and the examination of the content in terms of language and expression. By examining the necessary literature, the analysis was started in a way that is free from lack of information and has a good command of the documents. It has been tried to avoid sampling bias by systematically analyzing all sections of the book rather than a certain section. As a result of the data obtained, the evaluation of the textbook was made by researching the literature and comparing it with similar studies. When the word cloud and unit contents of the book analyzed in the study were examined, it was seen that the words suitable for the content that provide integrity with the subject were repeated frequently. The organisation chart, bibliography, and answer key sections are not included in the textbook. It is seen that there is no numerical balance between the program and the book in terms of theme and content. In other studies on measurement and evaluation studies in textbooks, it was observed that the questions in the end-of-theme measurement and evaluation sections of the textbooks were concentrated on the knowledge level of the cognitive domain. This situation is considered positive considering the level of special education students. However, it is thought that it would be more useful to increase the activities related to measurement and evaluation. As a result of this study, it is thought that it would be appropriate to carry out studies to revise the special education social life textbook. By discussing the findings of the research and the existing literature, suggestions for textbook preparers and suggestions for teachers are presented.
