Özet
Bu tez çalışmasının amacı, fantastik edebiyat metinleri ile bu metinlere bağlı etkinliklerin 5. sınıf öğrencilerinin yaratıcı okuma becerilerine etkisini araştırmaktır. Bu amaç kapsamında, araştırma modeli olarak deneysel modellerden“öntest-sontest kontrol gruplu desen”kullanılmıştır. Araştırma, 2022-2023 eğitim-öğretim yılında Trabzon ili Akçaabat ilçesi sınırları içerisindeki MEB'e bağlı benzer özelliklere sahip iki ortaokulda gerçekleştirilmiştir. Belirlenen okulların 5. sınıfında öğrenim gören öğrenciler araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmaktadır. Doğal sınıf ortamının bozulmasını engellemek adına sınıftaki öğrencilerden seçme yapılmadan tüm öğrenciler araştırmaya dâhil edilmiştir. Araştırma sürecinde ilk olarak her iki gruba, Yıldız (2010) tarafından geliştirilen 28 adet çoktan seçmeli sorudan oluşan“Okuduğunu Anlama Testi”uygulanmıştır. Sonrasında öğrencilerin yaratıcı okuma becerilerini ölçmeye yönelik Kasap, D. ve Susar Kırmızı, F. (2017) tarafından geliştirilen ve 28 maddeden oluşan“Yaratıcı Okuma Sürecini Değerlendirme Ölçeği”öntest olarak uygulanmıştır. Ardından deney grubu ile 6 hafta boyunca fantastik edebiyat metinleri ve bu metinlere dayalı etkinlikler aracılığıyla öğretim faaliyetleri yürütülürken aynı süreçte kontrol grubuyla Türkçe ders kitabında yer alan metinler ve bu metinlere bağlı etkinlikler kullanılarak öğretim faaliyetleri yürütülmüştür. Kontrol grubuna herhangi bir müdahalede bulunulmamış, dersler doğal akışında işlenmeye devam etmiştir. Sürecin sonunda, çalışma öncesinde öğrencilere öntest olarak uygulanan“Yaratıcı Okuma Sürecini Değerlendirme Ölçeği”her iki gruba da sontest olarak uygulanmış; ayrıca deney grubundaki öğrencilerle sürece ilişkin düşüncelerinin alınması amacıyla yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme gerçekleştirilmiştir. Sonrasında hem test sonuçlarından hem de yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeden elde edilen veriler analiz edilerek fantastik edebiyat metinlerinin ve bu metinlere bağlı etkinliklerin öğrencilerin yaratıcı okuma becerileri üzerindeki etkisi değerlendirilmiştir.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate the effect of fantastic literature texts and activities based on these texts on the creative reading skills of 5th grade students. Within the scope of this purpose,“pretest-posttest control group design”from experimental models was used as the research model. The research was conducted in two middle schools with similar characteristics affiliated to the Ministry of National Education within the borders of Akçaabat district of Trabzon province in the 2022-2023 academic year. Students studying in the 5th grade of the determined schools constitute the sample of the study. In order to prevent disruption of the natural classroom environment, all students in the class were included in the study without selection. In the research process, firstly, the“Reading Comprehension Test”consisting of 28 multiple-choice questions developed by Yıldız (2010) was applied to both groups. Then, the“Creative Reading Process Evaluation Scale”developed by Kasap, D., & Susar Kırmızı, F. (2017) and consisting of 28 items to measure students' creative reading skills was applied as a pretest. Then, while teaching activities were carried out with the experimental group for 6 weeks through fantastic literature texts and activities based on these texts, in the same process, teaching activities were carried out with the control group using the texts in the Turkish textbook and activities based on these texts. No intervention was made to the control group, and the lessons continued in their natural flow. At the end of the process, the“Scale for Evaluating the Creative Reading Process”, which was administered to the students as a pretest before the study, was administered to both groups as a posttest, and a semi-structured interview was conducted with the students in the experimental group in order to obtain their thoughts on the process. Afterwards, the data obtained from both the test results and the semi-structured interview were analyzed and the effects of fantastic literature texts and activities related to these texts on students' creative reading skills were evaluated.
