Özet

Küresel sosyal sorumluluk (KSS) bireyin yaşadığı ülkenin kanunlarına ve toplumun değerlerine uygun bir yaşam sürerken diğer ülkelerdeki işleyişe de aynı şekilde hassasiyet göstermesidir. Üstün yetenekli bireylerin ahlaki duyarlılıkları yüksek, güçlü etik değerlere ve empati kurma becerisine sahip, adalet duyguları gelişmiş ve küresel sorunlara duyarlı kişiler olmaları onları tipik gelişim gösteren bireylerden ayıran özelliklerindendir. Bu araştırma üstün yetenekli öğrencilerin (ÜYÖ) KSS kavramına ilişkin metaforik algılarının incelenerek demografik değişkenler çerçevesinde ortaya konmasını amaçlamaktadır. Çalışma 2023-2024 Eğitim-Öğretim yılında Bursa ili merkez ilçelerinde bulunan üç Bilim ve Sanat Merkezinde (BİLSEM) eğitimine devam etmekte olan 6. ve 7. sınıf öğrencilerini kapsamaktadır. Araştırma nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan fenomenoloji desende gerçekleştirilmiş, araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulan kişisel bilgi ve metafor anket formu kullanılarak 70 öğrenciden veri toplanmış ve içerik analizi tekniğiyle çözümlenmiştir. Ayrıca araştırmanın yürütüldüğü her kurum ve kademeden gelişigüzel örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen dörder öğrenciyle odak grup görüşmesi ve her kurumdan bir öğretmen ile yarı yapılandırılmış bir form aracılığıyla görüşme gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada elde edilen verilerin geçerliğini arttırmak amacıyla ayrıntılı betimleme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre ÜYÖ'in KSS kavramına ilişkin üretmiş oldukları metaforlardan en sık tekrar edenler gelecek, görev, hayat ve ödev metaforlarıdır. Araştırmanın alt problemleri doğrultusunda ÜYÖ'in hak kavramına ilişkin en çok tekrar eden metafor demokrasi ve sorumluluk kavramına ilişkin en çok tekrar eden metaforlar görev ve sorumluluk olmuştur. Her bir kavrama ilişkin ÜYÖ'in üretmiş oldukları metaforların kavramsal kategorileri ile katılımcıların demografik değişkenleri (cinsiyet, eğitim alınan kurum, sınıf, eğitim alınan alan, anne eğitim düzeyi, baba eğitim düzeyi) arasındaki bağımlılık istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bulunmamıştır.

Global social responsibility (GSR) is to live a life in accordance with the laws of the country where the individual lives and the values of the society, while showing sensitivity to the functioning in other countries in the same way. The fact that gifted individuals have high moral sensitivity, strong ethical values and empathy skills, have a developed sense of justice and are sensitive to global problems is one of the characteristics that distinguish them from typically developing individuals. This study aims to examine the metaphorical perceptions of gifted students (GTS) about the concept of GSR and to reveal them within the framework of demographic variables. The study covers 6th and 7th grade students who are continuing their education in three Science and Art Centres (SAC) located in the central districts of Bursa province in the 2023-2024 academic year. The research was carried out in phenomenology design, which is one of the qualitative research methods, and data were collected from 70 students using the personal information and metaphor questionnaire form created by the researcher and analysed by content analysis technique. In addition, focus group interviews were conducted with four students selected by random sampling method from each institution and level where the research was conducted, and one teacher from each institution was interviewed through a semi-structured form. In order to increase the validity of the data obtained in the study, detailed description technique was used. According to the findings of the study, the most frequently repeated metaphors produced by the GTSs regarding the concept of GSR are the metaphors of future, duty, life and homework. In line with the sub-problems of the study, the most recurring metaphor related to the concept of right was democracy and the most recurring metaphors related to the concept of responsibility were duty and responsibility. The dependency between the conceptual categories of the metaphors produced by the GTSs for each concept and the demographic variables of the participants (gender, centre, grade, field of study, mother's education level, father's education level) was not statistically significant.
