Özet

Sistematik derleme olarak yayınlanan bu araştırmanın amacı Fen Bilimleri, Fizik, Kimya ve Biyoloji eğitim alanlarında değerler eğitimi ile ilgili olan tez ve makaleleri akademik tür, yıl, üniversite, enstitü, anabilim/bilim dalı, dergi, örneklem grubu, araştırma yöntemi, amaç ve öne çıkan sonuçlar değişkenlerine göre analiz edip araştırmaların eğilimini tespit etmektir. Tezler YÖK Ulusal Tez Merkezinden, makaleler Dergipark ve Ulakbim TR Dizin veri tabanlarından elde edilmiştir. Araştırma modeli olarak betimsel içerik analizi yaklaşımı benimsenmiştir. Verilerin toplanmasında doküman analizi, analizinde içerik analizi tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, Fen Bilimleri alanında değerler eğitimi ile ilgili araştırmalarda (n=42); en fazla yayın üretilen akademik türün yüksek lisans tezi, yılın 2019, üniversitenin Gazi Üniversitesi, enstitünün Eğitim Bilimleri Enstitüsü, anabilim/ bilim dalının Matematik ve Fen Bilimleri Anabilim Dalı Fen Bilgisi Eğitimi Bilim Dalı, derginin Değerler Eğitimi Dergisi, en çok tercih edilen örneklem grubunun Fen öğretmenleri ve öğretmen adayları, araştırma yönteminin nitel yöntemler, amacının Fen öğretmen adaylarının görüş ve değer yargılarının belirlenmesi olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Fizik alanında değerler eğitimiyle ilgili çalışmalarda (n=2) yüksek lisans tezinin yılının 2004, üniversitesinin Atatürk Üniversitesi, enstitüsünün Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü, anabilim/bilim dalının Fizik Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı, örneklem grubunun öğretmen adayları ve lise öğrencileri, yönteminin belirtilmediği, amacının değerlerin farklı bir değişkenle ilişkisini incelemek olduğu; makalenin ise yılının 2023, yayınlandığı derginin Asya Studies Akademik Sosyal Araştırmalar Dergisi, örnekleminin Fizik ders kitapları, yönteminin nitel yöntemler ve amacının ders kitaplarını değerler yönünden incelemek olduğu görülmüştür. Kimya alanında değerler eğitimiyle ilgili çalışmalarda (n=3) en fazla yayınlanan akademik tür yüksek lisans tezidir. Yüksek lisans tezlerinin yayın yılı 2011 ve 2022, üniversiteleri Gazi Üniversitesi ve Trabzon Üniversitesi, enstitüleri Eğitim Bilimleri Enstitüsü ve Lisansüstü Eğitim Enstitüsü, anabilim/bilim dalları Matematik ve Fen Bilimleri Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı Kimya Eğitimi ve Kimya Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı; makalenin ise yayın yılının 2019, yayınlandığı derginin Değerler Eğitimi Dergisi olduğu görülmüştür. Çalışmalarda en çok tercih edilen örneklem grubu öğretmen adayları, araştırma yöntemi ise nitel yöntemlerdir. Araştırmaların amaçları öğretmen adaylarının değerlerle ilgili görüşlerini ve değer yargılarını belirleme, değerlerin farklı bir değişkenle ilişkisini inceleme ve ders kitaplarında değerleri analiz etme şeklindedir. Biyoloji alanında değerler eğitimiyle ilgili çalışmalarda (n=10) en fazla yayın yapılan akademik tür makale, yıl 2020, üniversite Gazi Üniversitesi, enstitü Eğitim Bilimleri Enstitüsü, anabilim/bilim dalı Ortaöğretim Fen ve Matematik Alanları Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı Biyoloji Öğretmenliği, örneklem grubu ders kitapları ve araştırma yöntemi nitel yöntemlerdir. Makalelerin her biri farklı dergilerde yayınlanmıştır. Çalışmaların amaçlarının en çok ve eşit frekanslarla biyoloji öğretmen adaylarının görüşlerini ve değer yargılarını belirleme ve ders kitaplarında değerleri analiz etme şeklinde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Fen, Fizik, Kimya ve Biyoloji alanında değerler eğitimiyle ilgili yayınlan çalışmaların öne çıkan sonuçları“Bulgular”başlığı altında her bir çalışma için tek tek açıklanmış, elde edilen veriler doğrultusunda araştırmacılara ve eğitim paydaşlarına öneriler sunulmuştur.

The aim of this systematic review is to analyze theses and articles related to values education in the fields of Science, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology education according to the variables of academic type, year, university, institute, department/science branch, journal, sample group, research method, purpose, and prominent results, and to determine the trends in these studies. Theses were obtained from the National Thesis Center of YÖK, and articles were obtained from Dergipark and Ulakbim TR Index databases. A descriptive content analysis approach was adopted as the research model. Document analysis was used in data collection, and content analysis technique was utilized in the analysis. As a result of the research, it was found that in studies related to values education in the field of Science (n=42), the most produced academic type was the master's thesis, the year was 2019, the university was Gazi University, the institute was the Institute of Educational Sciences, the department/science branch was the Department of Mathematics and Science Education, Science Education Program, the journal was the Journal of Values Education, the most preferred sample group was science teachers and teacher candidates, the research method was qualitative methods, and the aim was to determine the views and value judgments of science teacher candidates. In studies related to values education in the field of Physics (n=2); the year of the master's thesis was 2004, the university was Atatürk University, the institute was the Institute of Science, the department/science branch was the Physics Education Program, the sample group was teacher candidates and high school students, the method was not specified, and the aim was to examine the relationship of values with a different variable. The article was published in 2023, in the Journal of Asian Studies Academic Social Research, the sample was physics textbooks, the method was qualitative methods, and the aim was to examine the textbooks in terms of values. In studies related to values education in the field of Chemistry (n=3), the most published academic type was the master's thesis. The publication years of the master's theses were 2011 and 2022, the universities were Gazi University and Trabzon University, the institutes were the Institute of Educational Sciences and the Graduate School of Education, the departments/science branches were the Department of Mathematics and Science Education, Chemistry Education Program, and the Chemistry Education Program. The article was published in 2019, in the Journal of Values Education. The most preferred sample group in the studies was teacher candidates, and the research method was qualitative methods. The aims of the studies were to determine the views and value judgments of teacher candidates, to examine the relationship of values with a different variable, and to examine the textbooks in terms of values. In studies related to values education in the field of Biology (n=10), the most published academic type was the article, the year was 2020, the university was Gazi University, the institute was the Institute of Educational Sciences, the department/science branch was the Department of Secondary Science and Mathematics Education, Biology Teaching Program, the sample group was textbooks, and the research method was qualitative methods. Each article was published in different journals. The aims of the studies were most frequently and equally to determine the views and value judgments of biology teacher candidates and to analyze the values in textbooks. The prominent results of the studies published on values education in the fields of Science, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology were explained one by one under the“Findings”section, and recommendations were made to researchers and educational stakeholders based on the obtained data.
