Özet
Araştırma, hastaların tiroidektomi öncesi bilgi gereksinimlerini belirlemek amacıyla İstanbul Üniversitesi Cerrahpaşa Tıp Fakültesi Genel Cerrahi Anabilim Dalında tiroidektomi uygulanacak toplam 1 00 hasta üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Görüşme cetvelinin (Ek-1) uygulanması yolu ile elde edilen veriler, VerimVeri Değerlendirme, Bilimsel Danışmanlık ve Yayın Merkezinde frekans dökümleri yapılarak yüzdelik ve ki-kare testi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda hastaların ameliyat sonrası bakıma ilişkin bilgileri istedikleri, bu gereksinimleri karşılamak için hemşireyi seçtikleri, hemşireden ameliyatla ilgili korku ve endişelerinin giderilmesi, ilgi, yakınlık, anlayış ve güleryüz bekledikleri saptanmıştır. Hastaların bilgi gereksinimi duydukları konuların önemlilik derecesine göre hastalar için, hekimi ve hemşireyi tanımak, ameliyat öncesi bilgi gereksinimlerinin karşılanması, hastalığın tekrarlına riskinin ne olduğu, ameliyatın soluk alma ve iletişimi etkilemesi, tanı ve hastalık nedenlerini, ameliyatın basan durumunu, uygulanan işlemlerin sonucu, yapılacak işlemlerin amaç ve yapılış şeklini bilmenin ve gizlilik (mahremiyet) hissinin çok önemli olduğu belirlenmiştir.

This study is performed in Cerrahpaşa Medicine Faculty Surgery Department with 100 patients to determine patients need of information before thyroidectomie. The data obtained by questionnaire is appreciated using percentage and chi-carre tests in Scientific Counseling and Publication Center. We determined that the patients were demanding informetions about care after surgical operation and that they were prefering the nurse for this service from who they were expecting understanding, interest and friendliness. The needs of knowledge that for patients entitle to them in terms of importance degree of subjects these significant phenomenon; to recognise doctor and nurse, to perform of their needs before operation, What the risk of relapsing is, to affect on breathe and commanication of operation, to describe the reasons of sickness, to know the state of successful operation with the result, of applied procedure and its form and goal, All of these vital things was determined to be very important in confidentiality.
