Özet
Turizm dış etkenlerden en hızlı ve en çok etkilenen sektörlerden biridir. Yakın zamanda yaşanan pandemi, turizm sektörünü ciddi şekilde olumsuz etkilemiştir. Pandemi gibi olumsuz faktörler, işletmelerin kapanmasına, çalışan sayısında azalmaya gidilmesine ve işletmelerin güç kaybetmesine yol açmıştır. Turizm sektörünü dış etkenlerden kolayca etkilenmesi ve birçok iş koşullarının bu durumlardan etkilenmesiyle birlikte, bu çalışmada konaklama işletmelerinde çalışan bireylerin turizm sektöründeki çalışma koşulları, iş güvencesizliği ve COVID-19 sonrası bu güvencesizliğin geleceğe yönelik kaygıları üzerindeki etkileri incelenmiştir. Bu araştırmada, COVID-19 sonrası dönemde turizm ve otelcilik çalışanlarının istihdamının geleceğine yönelik algıları incelenmiştir. Veri analizi için nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden içerik analizi ve betimsel analiz yöntemi uygulanmıştır. Araştırma da 14 katılımcı ile yapılan görüşmelerden elde edilen verilerin analizi sonucunda, kodlar (76) aracılığıyla temalar belirlenmiştir. İçerik analizi yöntemiyle 4 ana tema belirlenmiştir. Belirlenen 4 ana tema ise 10 alt tema altında toplanarak derlenmiştir. Bu ana temalar; turizm ve otelcilik sektöründeki çalışma koşulları, konaklama işletmeleri, otel çalışanlarının nitelikleri ve COVID-19'un turizm ve otelcilik sektörü ile otel çalışanları üzerindeki etkileridir. Bu çalışmada Mardin ilinin merkezinde bulunan beş yıldızlı konaklama işletmelerinde art ve orta kademede çalışan bireylerle yüz yüze görüşme tekniği kullanılarak, turizm sektörü çalışanlarının sektöre yönelik bakış açıları, sektördeki istihdam edilebilirlik ve geleceğe dair kaygıları ele alınmıştır. Araştırma bulguları doğrultusunda, işletme yöneticilerine ve iş verenlerine çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur

Tourism is one of the sectors most rapidly and most affected by external factors. The recent pandemic has seriously negatively affected the tourism sector. Negative factors such as the pandemic have led to the closure of businesses, a decrease in the number of employees, and a loss of power in businesses. With the tourism sector being easily affected by external factors and many business conditions being affected by these situations, this study examined the working conditions of individuals working in accommodation businesses in the tourism sector, job insecurity, and the effects of this insecurity on their concerns about the future after COVID-19. In this study, the perceptions of tourism and hotel employees about the future of their employment in the post-COVID-19 period were examined. Content analysis and descriptive analysis methods, which are qualitative research methods, were applied for data analysis. As a result of the analysis of the data obtained from the interviews conducted with 14 participants in the research, themes were determined through codes (76). 4 main themes were determined with the content analysis method. The 4 main themes determined were collected and compiled under 10 sub-themes. These main themes; working conditions in the tourism and hotel sector, accommodation businesses, qualifications of hotel employees and the effects of COVID-19 on the tourism and hotel sector and hotel employees. In this study, face-to-face interviews were conducted with individuals working in the middle and upper levels of five-star accommodation businesses located in the center of Mardin province, and the perspectives of tourism sector employees on the sector, employability in the sector and concerns about the future were discussed. In line with the research findings, various suggestions were made to business managers and employers.
