Özet

Lafız ve mana arasındaki ilişkiyi konu edinen ve 14. yüzyılda müstakil olarak incelenmeye başlanan vaz' ilmi daha sonraki yüzyıllarda hakkında birçok eser yazılması suretiyle zenginleşmiştir. Bu bağlamda 20. yüzyıl, vaz' ilmiyle alakalı çok sayıda çalışmanın kaleme alınmasıyla öne çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışmada 20. yüzyılda klasik ve modern üslupla telif edilen Arapça eserler incelenmiş ve bu eserlerin benzer ve farklı yönlerine değinilmiştir. Bu incelemeyle vaz' ilminin 20. yüzyıldaki genel durumu ve vaz'ın nasıl anlatıldığını tespit etmek amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma neticesinde bahsi geçen yüzyılda bir yandan klasik medrese telif geleneğinin sürdürülmesi ve diğer yandan vaz'ın üniversite ve resmî eğitim kurumlarında okutulması hasebiyle iki farklı üslubun olduğu saptanmıştır. Çalışmada vaz' ilminin anlatımında farklı metotları benimsemeleri sebebiyle bu iki çizginin ayrıştığı tespit edilmiştir. Bunun yanında 20. yüzyılda vaz' ilminde eser veren alimlerin çeşitli meselelerde farklı görüşlere sahip olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.

The science of wad', which deals with the relationship between words and meanings and was studied independently in the 14th century, was enriched in the following centuries by the writing of many works on it. In this context, the 20th century stands out with the writing of many works related to the science of wad'. In this study, Arabic works written in classical and modern styles in the 20th century were examined and the similar and different aspects of these works were discussed. The aim of this study was to determine the general status of the science of wad' in the 20th century and how wad' was explained. As a result of the study, it was determined that there were two different styles in the mentioned century due to the continuation of the classical madrasah writing tradition on the one hand and the fact that wad' was taught in universities and official educational institutions on the other. In the study, it was determined that these two lines diverged due to the adoption of different methods in the explanation of the science of wad'. In addition, it was concluded that the scholars who wrote works in the science of wad' in the 20th century had different views on various issues.
