Özet
Din felsefesi alanında yazmış olduğum bu tez, Tanrı'nın adalet ve sevgi sıfatlarının daha doğru anlaşılabilmesini ve bu alandaki tartışmalara katkı sağlamayı amaç edinmektedir. Tanrı'nın sıfatları ve bu sıfatlar arasındaki ilişki tarih boyunca hem felsefi hem de teolojik bağlamda ele alınmıştır. Ayrıca Tanrı ve Tanrı'nın sıfatlarıyla olan ilişkisi din felsefesi alanının merkezi konularından biri olarak ön plana çıkmaktadır. Tezimiz, Tanrı'nın adalet ve sevgi sıfatlarına odaklanmış olup bu sıfatların ilahi bir nitelik olarak Tanrı'da nasıl bir arada düşünülebileceğini ve bu iki sıfat arasındaki ilişkinin doğasının ne olduğunu inceleyen bir çalışmadır. Özellikle teodise problemi, konumuzun can alıcı noktalarından birisidir. Bunun sebebi, teodise problemi başlığı altında hem adil hem de sevgi dolu bir varlık olarak kabul edilen Tanrı'nın, kötülüğün varlığıyla nasıl uzlaştırılabileceği meselesi yer almaktadır. Bununla birlikte çalışmamızda teodise problemiyle ilgili çeşitli çözüm önerilerine de yer verilmektedir. Augustinus'un özgür irade savunusu, Leibniz'in en iyi mümkün dünya tezi ve Plantinga'nın mantıksal kötülük problemi çözümü bu önerilerden birkaçını oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmamızda ilk olarak, adalet kavramı üzerinde incelemeler yer almaktadır. Bu incelemeler, din felsefesi alanı sınırları içerisinde gerçekleşmiştir. Bu inceleme esnasında, adalet kavramı, felsefi ve teolojik bir şekilde detaylandırılarak ve çeşitli düşünürlerin fikirlerine yer vererek analiz edilmiştir. Bu çerçevede, Aristoteles'ten Thomas Aquinas'a, Paul Tillich'ten Alvin v Plantinga'ya kadar uzanan bir literatür taraması yapılmıştır. Ardından sevgi kavramını, insanların tecrübelerinden yola çıkarak ve sevginin başka kavramlarla olan ilişkilerini inceleyerek, sevginin tanrısal bir sıfat olarak düşünüldüğünde ne ifade edebileceği üzerinde değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır. Ayrıca sevgi ve adalet kavramlarının, tanrısal bir sıfat olarak düşünüldüklerinde birbirleriyle çelişik veya zıt kavramlar mı yoksa birbirlerini tamamlayıcı kavramlar mı olduğu sorusu üzerine yoğunlaşılmıştır. Aslında bu soru tezimizin temel sorularından birisidir. Çalışmamız, adalet ve sevgi sıfatlarının Tanrı tasavvurundaki merkezi rolünü ortaya koymayı amaç edinmektedir. Bununla birlikte, konumuz hakkında, epistemolojik açıdan bazı belirsizlikler bulunsa da Tanrı'nın adalet ve sevgi sıfatları arasında felsefi ve teolojik bir uyumun söz konusu olduğu savunulmaktadır.

This thesis, written in the field of philosophy of religion, aims to provide a clearer understanding of God's attributes of justice and love and to contribute to ethical discussions in this area. The attributes of God and the relationships between these attributes have been addressed throughout history in both philosophical and theological contexts. Additionally, the relationship between God and His attributes stands out as one of the central subjects in the field of philosophy of religion. Our thesis focuses on the attributes of God's justice and love, examining how these qualities can be conceived together as a divine characteristic and the nature of the relationship between these two attributes. Theodicy, in particular, forms the critical focus of this study. This is because theodicy encompasses the issue of reconciling the existence of evil with the belief in a God who is both just and loving. The study also includes various proposed solutions to the problem of theodicy, such as Augustine's free will defense, Leibniz's best possible world theory, and Plantinga's resolution of the logical problem of evil. The first part of the study involves an examination of the concept of justice, analyzed within the boundaries of philosophy of religion. This analysis delves into the philosophical and theological dimensions of justice and incorporates the perspectives of various thinkers. In this context, the thesis includes a literature review extending from Aristotle to Thomas Aquinas, and from Paul Tillich to vii Alvin Plantinga. The study then evaluates the concept of love, starting from human experiences and exploring its relationship with other concepts. It considers what love might signify as a divine attribute. Additionally, it focuses on whether the concepts of love and justice, when regarded as divine attributes, are contradictory or complementary. This question represents one of the core inquiries of the thesis. Our study aims to elucidate the central role of the attributes of justice and love in the conception of God. While acknowledging certain epistemological uncertainties regarding the topic, the thesis argues that there is philosophical and theological harmony between God's attributes of justice and love.
