Özet
Bu tezde, tıp felsefesi bir akademik disiplin olarak ele alındı, tıp felsefesinin varlığı ve doğası üzerine yapılan tartışmalar incelendi. Girişte öncelikle kronolojik olarak antik çağdan modern döneme tıbbın tarihsel dönüşümleri ve son elli yılda gelişen tıp felsefesi tartışmaları araştırıldı. Birinci bölümde felsefe ve tıp, tıpta felsefe ve tıp felsefesi kavramları çözümlendi. İkinci bölümde, bir disiplin olarak tıp felsefesinin neliği ve sınırlarını tartışıldı. Üçüncü bölümde tıbbın epistemolojik, etik, pratik ve sosyal yönleri ele alındı. Sonuç olarak, tıp felsefesinin bir disiplin olarak var olduğunu, felsefi bağlamda epistemolojik, etik, antropolojik ve sosyal boyutları içeren çok yönlü bir alan olduğunu ileri sürüyorum. Çalışmamın Türkiye'deki tıp felsefesi literatürüne katkı sağlamasını ve bu alandaki akademik çalışmaların gelişmesinin önünü açmasını umuyorum.

In this thesis, the philosophy of medicine as an academic discipline is discussed, and the debates regarding its existence and nature are investigated. In the introduction, at first the historical transformations of medicine from ancient times to the modern period is mentioned and then the debates on the philosophy of medicine that have developed over the last fifty years is explored. In the first chapter, the concepts of philosophy and medicine, as well as the roles of philosophy in medicine and the philosophy of medicine are analyzed. In the second chapter, the nature and limits of the philosophy of medicine as a discipline are disputed. I deal with the epistemological, ethical, practical, and social aspects of medicine in the third chapter. In conclusion, I argue that the philosophy of medicine exists as a discipline and is a multifaceted field that encompasses epistemological, ethical, anthropological, and social dimensions within a philosophical context. I hope that my study will contribute to the literature on the philosophy of medicine in Turkey and pave the way for the development of academic studies in this field.
