Özet

Bu çalışma, Cumhuriyet dönemi Anadolu tasavvuf geleneğinin önemli temsilcilerinden biri olan Seyyid Hattat Ahmet Tagi'nin (1934–1987) hayatını ve tasavvufî düşünce dünyasını ele almaktadır. Nakşibendiyye tarikatının Gümüşhaneviyye koluna mensup olan Seyyid Ahmet Efendi, hem zahirî hem batınî ilimlerde derinleşmiş, yaşantısıyla halk üzerinde kalıcı izler bırakmıştır. Bu yönüyle, yalnızca kendi dönemi için değil, günümüz için de ilham verici bir manevî miras sunmaktadır. Tez; bir giriş ve dört ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde araştırmanın amacı, kapsamı ve yöntemi açıklanmıştır. Birinci bölümde Ahmet Tagi'nin ailesi, eğitimi, mesleki hayatı, mürşidi Nur Muhammed Abdülhây Efendi ile ilişkisi ve tasavvuf yolculuğu ele alınmıştır. İkinci bölümde onun tasavvufî eğitime yaklaşımı, şeriat–tarikat–hakikat dengesi, zikir, tövbe, halvet gibi temel kavramlar çerçevesinde incelenmiştir. Üçüncü bölüm, Seyyid Ahmet Efendi'nin tasavvufî bilgi ve deneyim anlayışına ayrılmıştır. Bu bağlamda insan-ı kâmil, keşf, keramet, fenâ-bekâ, vahdet-kesret gibi temel tasavvufî kavramlar ışığında değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır. Dördüncü bölümde ise onun ibadet ve ahlâk anlayışı; ihlâs, rızâ, sabır, tevekkül ve nefis terbiyesi gibi konular üzerinden ortaya konmuştur. Çalışmada, klasik tasavvuf kaynaklarının yanı sıra sözlü tarih yöntemiyle yapılan mülakatlardan da faydalanılmış; böylece Seyyid Ahmet Efendi'nin düşünce yapısı tarihsel gelenekle birlikte değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, Seyyid Ahmet Efendi'nin hem yaşayışı hem de öğretileriyle çağdaş sûfî portresini temsil ettiği ve günümüz maneviyat arayışına güçlü bir katkı sunduğu ortaya konmuştur.

This study explores the life and Sufi thought of Seyyid Hattat Ahmet Tagi (1934–1987), a notable figure in the Anatolian Sufi tradition during the Republican period. As a member of the Naqshbandiyya order's Gümüşhanevi branch, Seyyid Ahmet Efendi was deeply rooted in both exoteric and esoteric knowledge and left a lasting impression on his community through his spiritual integrity. His legacy offers not only historical insight but also meaningful inspiration for contemporary seekers of spirituality. The thesis consists of an introduction and four main chapters. The introduction explains the purpose, scope, and methodology of the research. The first chapter presents Ahmet Tagi's background, education, professional life, his spiritual guide Nur Muhammed Abdülhây Efendi, and his mystical journey. The second chapter focuses on his approach to Sufi education and examines concepts such as the Shari'a–Ṭariqa–Ḥaqiqa balance, dhikr, repentance, seclusion, and spiritual mentorship. The third chapter discusses his understanding of mystical knowledge and spiritual experience through key concepts such as al-insan al-kamil, unveiling (kashf), miracles (karamah), fana–baqa, and unity–multiplicity (waḥdat–kathrat). The fourth chapter focuses on his ethical and devotional perspective, including topics like sincerity, contentment, patience, trust in God, and discipline of the self (nafs). In addition to classical Sufi texts, the study also draws upon oral interviews, offering a contextual and comparative analysis of Ahmet Tagi's spiritual worldview within the broader tradition. The thesis concludes that Seyyid Ahmet Efendi represents a living model of integrated Sufi theory and practice, and that his teachings offer valuable guidance for today's spiritual challenges.
