Purpose: The aim of this thesis is to determine the structural properties of beeswax and glass fiber reinforced interply hybrid composites after thermal cycling and to investigate the effects of thermal cycling on hybridization. Method: In this study, firstly, beeswax and glass fiber-reinforced laminated composites were fabricated using the vacuum-assisted resin transfer molding technique (VARTM). Then, specimens were cut in accordance with the relevant standards for the preparation of mechanical and dynamic test specimens. Then, thermal cycling was applied according to a specific plan and different cycle numbers (10, 20, and 30) were determined, and sample groups were formed. After thermal cycling, structural characterizations were performed by density measurement, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analysis, thermal conductivity coefficient measurement, vibration test, SEM analysis and finally three-point bending test, and the effects of thermal cycling on wax hybridization were investigated. Findings: : As a result of the characterizations, the structural properties and comparative performances of the specimens were evaluated. Accordingly, the density of the glass fiber composite without thermal cycling was found to be 30,58% higher than that of the control hybrid composites. As a result of DSC analysis, the melting temperature of the hybrid composite was determined as 64,57 °C. The thermal conductivity coefficient of the interply hybrid composite was 17,64 % higher than that of the glass fiber composite. It was calculated that the first natural frequency of the hybrid composite was 60,89 % and 69,45 % higher than that of the glass fiber composite for the clamped-free and free-free boundary conditions, respectively, and the flexural strength and modulus values were 93,13 % and 79,69 % lower, respectively. After 30 thermal cycles, the first natural frequency values of the glass fiber composite remained almost the same for both boundary conditions compared to the control specimen, while the hybrid composites showed 24,77 % and 17,37 % increases for the clamped-free and free-free boundary conditions, respectively. After 30 thermal cycles, the flexural strength of the glass fiber composites increased by 48,18 %, while the hybrid composites decreased by 13,21 %. Results: It was found that beeswax/glass fiber hybridisation caused decreases in density and melting temperature and an increase in thermal conductivity coefficient compared to the glass fibre composite. It was also observed that the first natural frequency of the hybrid composite at different boundary conditions was higher than that of the glass fibre composite. On the other hand, it was determined that the hybridisation process had a negative effect on the flexural behaviour of the composite. It was observed that thermal cycling did not cause a significant change in the natural frequency behaviour of the glass fibre composite, while it caused an increase in the hybrid composites. Thermal cycling improved the flexural properties of glass fibre composites, while it had a partially negative effect on hybrid composites.
