Özet
Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, 7. sınıf Sosyal Bilgiler dersi Türk Tarihinde Yolculuk ünitesinde storyline yönteminin kullanılmasının derse yönelik ilgi ve tutuma etkisini araştırmaktır. Öğrencinin derse yönelik ilgisini, tutumunu ve başarısını etkileyen en önemli unsurlardan bir tanesi de derste kullanılan yöntemdir. Bu doğrultuda Türkiye'de ve dünyada son dönemlerde kullanılan storyline yönteminin öğrenci ilgi ve tutumuna etkisi, yarı deneysel bir desenle incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini Gaziantep ili Şehitkâmil ilçesi Karacaoğlan Ortaokulu'nda bulunan iki sınıftan toplam 50 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Bu sınıflar basit rastgele örnekleme yöntemiyle belirlenmiştir. Araştırma süreci, ön-test ve son-test uygulamaları dâhil olmak üzere 8 hafta olarak planlanmıştır. Araştırmada verilerin toplanması ve çözümlenmesi sürecinde nicel ve nitel veri toplama araçları birlikte kullanılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda yürütülen çalışma, açıklayıcı karma desen çerçevesi karma yöntem araştırması olarak tasarlanmıştır. Nicel veri toplamak amacıyla belirlenen“Sosyal Bilgiler Dersi Tutum Ölçeği”ön-test ve son-test olarak, nitel veri toplamak için ise araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu, öğrenci günlükleri ve gözlem yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen nicel veriler SPSS 23.0 aracılığıyla analiz edilmiştir. Nitel veriler ise hem betimsel olarak değerlendirilmiş hem de içerik analiz yöntemi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre, storyline yönteminin kullanılmasının Sosyal Bilgiler dersi Türk Tarihinde Yolculuk ünitesinde az olan ilgi ve tutumu yapılan uygulamalar aracılığıyla arttırdığı belirlenmiştir. Storyline yöntemi sayesinde bütüncül anlamda ünitenin yanı sıra birlikte Sosyal Bilgiler dersine yönelik ilgi ve tutumun da arttığı gözlemlenmiştir.

The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the storyline method on students' interest and attitudes towards Journey in Turkish History unit in the 7th grade Social Studies course. One of the most important factors affecting students' interest, attitude, and achievement in the course is the method used during instruction. In this regard, the effect of the storyline method, which has been increasingly used in Turkey and around the world in recent years, on students' interest and attitudes was examined through a quasi-experimental design. The sample of the study consists of a total of 50 students from two classes at Karacaoğlan Secondary School in the Şehitkâmil district of Gaziantep. These classes were selected through simple random sampling. The research process was planned as eight weeks, including pre-test and post-test applications. Both quantitative and qualitative data collection tools were used in the process of data gathering and analysis. The study carried out in this direction was designed as a mixed method research within the framework of an explanatory mixed design. For quantitative data collection, the“Social Studies Course Attitude Scale”was administered as pre-test and post-test. For qualitative data, a semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher, student diaries, and observation methods were used. Quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0, while qualitative data were evaluated both descriptively and through content analysis. According to the findings, it was determined that the use of the storyline method increased the initially low levels of interest and attitude in the Journey in Turkish History unit through the applications carried out. It was also observed that thanks to the storyline method, not only holistic learning of the unit but also students' overall interest and attitudes toward the Social Studies course improved.
