Özet
Zaman, mekân ve insan olarak üç bölüme ayrılan bu çalışmanın amacı İstanbul şehrinin münferit yahut toplumsal muhayyiledeki karşılığını tespit etmektir. Bunun için Tanzimat'tan günümüze modern Türk şiiri bir süzgeçten geçirilerek İstanbul'u işaret eden şiirler bir ayrıma tâbi tutulmuş ve bir şehri konumlandırma noktasında fayda sağlayacağı düşünülenler baskın söylem dikkate alınarak tasnif edilmiştir. Çalışmanın ilk bölümü olan“Zaman”İstanbul'u geçmiş ve hâlin penceresinden gören ve şehre yaklaşımda zaman mefhumunu merkeze alan şiirlerin değerlendirildiği kısımdır.“Mekân”bölümü ise şehre mekân odağında sirayet eden şairin tercihlerinin sorgulandığı ve yönelimlerinin ortaya konduğu başlıktır.“İnsan”kısmı ise İstanbul'u insanla değerlendiren bakış açısının durak noktaları etrafında teşkil edilmiştir. Zira şehir onu meydana getiren, ona asıl anlamını yükleyen, gelişimine ve devamlılığına katkıda bulunan unsurlarla birlikte sahip olduğu yeri muhafaza edebilir. Diğer yandan şehrin mevcudiyetinin imgesel düzlemde dönüştürülmesi her ne kadar hakikatle olan bağını zayıflatıyor gibi görünse de gören göz ve onu kalıcı hâle getiren kalemden izler taşıması dolayısıyla hem kişinin hem de o kişinin mensup olduğu toplumun algısı hakkında ipuçları sunar. Bu algının şekillenişi de pek çok hadiseye ve duruma bağlı olduğundan bir şehir algısı yalnızca kendisi ile temsil olunmaz ve şümullü sonuçlara götürebilir. Bu çalışmada da İstanbul'un modern Türk şiirindeki seyri bu noktalardan takip edilerek şehre dair ortaya çıkan bakış açıları ve bunların şekillenmesinde etkili olan faktörler değerlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır.

The first section of the study,“Time”, is the section where poems that see Istanbul from the window of the past and the present and center the concept of time in approaching the city are evaluated. The“Space”section is the title where the preferences of the poet who infiltrates the city with a focus on space are questioned and his tendencies are revealed. The“Human”section is organized around the stopping points of the perspective that evaluates Istanbul with humans. Because the city can preserve its place together with the elements that create it, give it its real meaning, and contribute to its development and continuity. On the other hand, although the transformation of the city's existence on an imaginary plane seems to weaken its connection with reality, it offers clues about the perception of both the person and the society to which that person belongs, since it bears traces of the seeing eye and the pen that makes it permanent. Since the formation of this perception depends on many events and situations, the perception of a city cannot be represented only by itself and can lead to comprehensive results. In this study, the course of Istanbul in modern Turkish poetry has been followed from these points and the perspectives that emerged about the city and the factors that are effective in their formation have been tried to be evaluated.
