Özet
Armağan, tüm toplumlarda çeşitli biçimlerde görülen evrensel bir sosyal olgudur. Çalışma, bu pratiğin toplumda nasıl vuku bulduğunu araştırmıştır. Nitel yöntemle tasarlanan araştırmada; 'amaçlı örnekleme' tekniğiyle belirlenen 'orta sınıf'a mensup 20 kişiyle, Eylül-Aralık 2024'te yüz-yüze mülakatlar yapılarak veriler toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde; 'uyarlayıcı teori' ve 'temellendirilmiş kuram' kodlama teknikleri sentezlenerek kullanılmış ve“Armağan Bileşenleri”inşa edilmiştir. Armağan bileşenleri (zaman, nesne, motivasyon, süreç, ritüel/pratik); toplumsal uzamdaki mikro-mezo-makro ilişkileri ve etkileşimleri analiz etmeyi mümkün kılan 'analitik araçlar'a dönüştürülmüştür. Çalışma; teori-pratik birlikteliği içinde ve ilişkisel sosyolojik perspektifle armağan olgusunu ele alarak, 'armağan bileşenleri'ni inşa etmiş; bileşenlerin toplumsal uzamı şekillendirdiğini ve yeniden ürettiğini göstermiş; 'İlişkisel Sosyolojik Armağan Kuramı'nı literatürdeki teorik tartışmaların içine dahil etmiş; 'İlişkisel Sosyolojik Armağan Modeli' aracılığıyla, Türkiye'de ihmal edilmiş olan konuya/alana yeni bir perspektif getirmiş; toplumdaki armağan(laşma) pratiklerini analiz ederek“armağan(ın) sosyolojisi”ni yapmıştır.

Gifting is a universal social phenomenon seen in various forms in all societies. The study investigated how this practice occurs in society. In the research designed with the qualitative method; data were collected by conducting face-to-face interviews with 20 people belonging to the 'middle class' determined through the 'purposive sampling' technique between September-December 2024. In the analysis of the data; 'adaptive theory' and 'grounded theory' coding techniques were synthesized and 'Gift Components' were constructed. Gift components (time, object, motivation, process, ritual/practice) were transformed into 'analytical tools' that make it possible to analyze micro-meso-macro relations and interactions in social space. The study; by addressing the phenomenon of gifting in the unity of theory and practice and with a relational sociological perspective, it constructed the 'gift components'; it showed that the components shape and reproduce the social space; it integrated the 'Relational Sociological Gift Theory' into the theoretical discussions in the literature; Through the 'Relational Sociological Gift Model', he brought a new perspective to the neglected subject/field in Turkey and made the“sociology of gift”by analyzing gift(ing) practices in society.
