Özet

Bu çalışma, çağdaş sosyal felsefe tartışmalarının merkezinde yer alan sosyal patoloji kavramını, Hegelci sosyal ontoloji zemininde sistematik olarak yeniden temellendirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Tezin temel hareket noktası, toplumsal bozulmaların yalnızca yüzeysel aksaklıklar üzerinden değil, toplumsal gerçekliğin kurucu yapısı ve varlık koşulları üzerinden teşhis edilmesi gerektiği iddiasıdır. Bu doğrultuda çalışma, sosyal patolojiyi toplumsal yaşamın bütünlüğüne sirayet eden yapısal bir bozulma olarak kavramsallaştırmaktadır. Bu kapsamda çalışma üç bölüm üzerinden yapılandırılmıştır. Birinci bölümde sosyal ontoloji kavramsal olarak ele alınmış; toplumsal gerçekliğin ontolojik yapısı, birey-toplum ilişkilerinin oluşum koşulları ve sosyal varlıkların nasıl sürdürüldüğü tartışılmıştır. Bu bölüm, sosyal patolojilerin toplumsal gerçekliği mümkün kılan yapıların işleyişine ilişkin problemler olarak ele alınabilmesini sağlayan ontolojik zemini kurması bakımından belirleyicidir. İkinci bölümde, sosyal patoloji kavramının kapsamı, eleştirel işlevi ve teorik çerçevesi incelenmiştir. Bu bölümün önemi, patolojiyi toplumsal gerçekliğin derinlikli yapısından koparan ana akım yaklaşımların sınırlılıklarını görünür kılması; böylece patolojiyi toplumsalın sosyo-ontolojik temellerine yerleştirecek bir perspektif için gerekli kuramsal zemini hazırlaması açısından çalışma için önem taşımaktadır. Üçüncü bölüm ise Hegel felsefesi temelinde sosyal ontoloji ile sosyal patoloji arasındaki ilişkiyi sistematik olarak yeniden düşünmüş; sosyal patoloji, toplumsal özgürlüğün kurumsallaşma sorunu olarak betimlenmiş ve patoloji süreçleri Hegel'in kavramsal araçları ışığında analiz edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak bu çalışma, sosyal patolojiyi toplumsal gerçekliğin kendi varlık tarzındaki yapısal krizler olarak konumlandırarak; özgürlüğün tinsel ve kurumsal olarak yeniden üretilememesi üzerinden hem normatif hem de ontolojik temelli, içkin bir eleştiri modeli sunmaktadır.

This study aims to systematically reconstruct the concept of social pathology—central to debates in contemporary social philosophy—within the framework of Hegelian social ontology. The main premise of the dissertation is that social distortions should be diagnosed not merely through surface-level malfunctions but through the constitutive structure and conditions of existence of social reality itself. Accordingly, social pathology is conceptualized as a structural distortion that permeates the totality of social life. The study is structured in three main chapters. The first chapter addresses social ontology conceptually, discussing the ontological structure of social reality, the conditions under which individual–society relations are constituted, and how social beings are sustained. This chapter establishes the ontological ground that allows social pathologies to be understood as problems in the functioning of the structures that make social reality possible. The second chapter examines the scope, critical function, and theoretical framework of the concept of social pathology. Its significance lies in revealing the limitations of mainstream approaches that detach pathology from the deep structures of social reality, thereby preparing the theoretical ground for a perspective that situates pathology within the socio-ontological foundations of the social. The third chapter systematically rethinks the relationship between social ontology and social pathology on the basis of Hegel's philosophy. Here, social pathology is described as a problem of the institutionalization of social freedom, and pathological processes are analyzed through Hegel's conceptual tools. In conclusion, the study positions social pathology as a set of structural crises inherent in the mode of being of social reality itself, and offers an immanent model of critique—both normative and ontological—based on the failure to reproduce freedom in its spiritual and institutional forms.
