Özet
Bu tez, düşünür Francisco J. Varela'nın çalışmalarını ve Canlandırıcı Yaklaşımı merekeze alarak insanın yaşamını inşa eden deneyimin, Budist geleneğe ait birinci şahıs perspektifinde konumlanan pratikler ile nasıl epistemik bir araca dönüştüğünü serimlemektedir. Böylece bu yöntemsellikle araştırılıp tekrar kurulan varoluşun doğası hakkında epistemolojik ve metafizik tartışmalara değinilerek, kendini bilen bilinç olarak İnsan'a ve kendinin keşfine dair bir değerlendirme sunulmaktadır. Bu anlamda 'ben' belirlenimlerinden özgürleşmiş bir bilişsel yapının hakikatle kurduğu ilişkiyi işaret eden 'ortak bilinç' mottosu ve yaratılan 'ortak yaşam', nörofenomenolojinin sunduğu autopoiesis ve canlanma kavramları ile beraber tartışılacak; Varela'nın felsefi bakışı ile birlikte yorumlanacaktır.

This thesis examines the works of the philosopher Francisco J. Varela, taking the Enactive Approach as its central framework, and demonstrates how experience through which human life is constituted, becomes an epistemic instrument by way of first person approach rooted in the Buddhist tradition's practices. Within this methodological orientation, the study engages with epistemological and metaphysical debates concerning the nature of existence as investigated and reconstituted through such practices, and offers an evaluation of the Human as a self-knowing consciousness and of the process of Self-discovery. In this context, the notion of 'shared consciousness', which points to the relationship between truth and a cognitive structure liberated from the determinations of the 'self', together with the idea of a 'shared life' thus constituted, will be discussed in conjunction with the concepts of autopoiesis and enaction as articulated by neurophenomenology, and interpreted through Varela's philosophical perspective.
