Özet
Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, lise öğrencilerinin özgürlük algıları ile aldıkları din eğitimi arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Küreselleşme ve dijitalleşme süreçleriyle birlikte gençlerin bireyselleşme ve özgürlük talepleri artarken, bu durumun kurumsal ve geleneksel din eğitimi yapılarıyla nasıl bir etkileşime girdiğinden yola çıkarak“Din eğitimi, lise öğrencilerinin özgürlük anlayışını hangi yönlerden ve nasıl etkilemektedir?”sorusu çalışmanın ana problemini oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada, nitel araştırma yöntemi benimsenmiştir. Bu doğrultuda, farklı okul türlerinde (anadolu ve imam hatip liseleri) öğrenim gören lise öğrencileriyle derinlemesine mülakatlar gerçekleştirilmiş ve veriler toplanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular; yeni nesil teknolojilerin, sosyo-kültürel baskı unsurlarının, aile ile akran etkisinin ve dini temsildeki aksaklıkların gençlerin dindarlık algılarını doğrudan etkilediğini göstermektedir. Özellikle özgürlük isteğinin, din eğitiminde doğru temellendirilemediği durumlarda itikadi sorgulamalara ve mesafelere yol açtığı tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak din eğitimi müfredatının özgürlük kavramına yüklediği anlamın; modern çağın dinamikleri gözetilerek gençlere aktarılmasının, din ile özgürlük arasındaki ilişkinin pedagojik açıdan doğru inşa edilmesinin önemi ortaya konmuştur. Araştırma, mevcut din eğitimi politikalarının gençlerin özgürlük arayışlarına yapıcı bir yanıt verebilmesi adına yapısal ve içeriksel öneriler sunmaktadır.

The main objective of this study is to examine the relationship between high school students' perceptions of freedom and the religious education they receive. As youth's demands for individualization and freedom increase alongside globalization and digitalization, the question“In what ways and how does religious education affect high school students' understanding of freedom?”constitutes the core problem of the study, based on how this situation interacts with institutional and traditional religious education structures. A qualitative research method was adopted in this study. Accordingly, in-depth interviews were conducted and data were collected from high school students studying in different school types (anatolian and imam hatip high schools). The findings indicate that new technologies, socio-cultural pressures, family and peer influence, and shortcomings in religious representation directly affect youth's perceptions of religiosity. It is observed that when the desire for freedom is not properly grounded within religious education, it leads to theological questioning and detachment. In conclusion, the study highlights the importance of conveying the meaning ascribed to freedom within the religious education curriculum by considering modern dynamics, and properly constructing the pedagogical relationship between religion and freedom. The research offers structural and content-related recommendations for current religious education policies to respond constructively to youth's pursuit of freedom.
