L ;.-., * " VII OZET Bu çalışmanın birinci hedefi, Geleneksel Öğretim Yöntemi ve bu Geleneksel Öğretime ilave olarak verilen Labaratuvar(Deneysel) yönteminin kimya öğrenimine olan etkisinin bulunması, ikinci hedefi ise, Geleneksel Öğretim Yöntemi ve Geleneksel Öğretime ilave olarak uygulanan Model Yönteminin kimya başarısına olan etkisinin deneysel olarak bulunmasıdır. Bu çalışma Özel Asia Lisesinde, Lise-1 sınıfinda okuyan 41 erkek öğrenci üzerinde uygulanmıştır. Veri toplamak için Bilimsel Basan Testi, Akademik Benlik Kavramı Ölçeği ve Kimya Basan Notlan kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonunda ;. Geleneksel Öğretim yöntemiyle beraber, Laboratuvar (Deneysel) Yönteminden yararlanan öğrencilerin, geleneksel öğretim yönteminden faydalanan öğrencilere oranla daha başarılı olduğu bulunmuştur.. Geleneksel Öğretim yöntemiyle beraber, Model Yönteminden faydalanan öğrencilerin geleneksel öğretim yönteminden faydalanan öğrencilere göre daha başarılı olduğu bulunmuştur. *S»

VIII ABSTRACT The first aim of this study is to explore and compare the effects of traditional (lecture - based) chemistry teaching methods and labaratory (experimental) chemistry teaching methods. The second aim is to explore and compare the effects of traditional (lecture -based )chemistry teaching methods and model teaching methods. The study involved a total of 41 boys first year upper secondary school students which were selected from the classes of the same secondary school. Three different instruments are applied; Chemistry Achivements Test, Academic Personality Scale, and Chemistry Marks. The following findings are reported;. Students who are taught via chemistry labaratory (experimental) methods are succesful than those who are taught through the traditional method, (lecture-based). Students who are taught via model teaching method are more successful than those who are taught through traditional method, (lecture-based)
