ABSTRACT Organizations are changing, and the field of organizational behavior is changing with them. New dynamics are emerging as important organizational research issues. Team effectiveness, teamwork, team cohesiveness and performance, leadership, motivation and group goals are the research themes in organizational behavior. In the recent years, the formation of work teams that can contribute to improved performance is a human resource management practice that is becoming commonplace. According to many companies, teams are considered to act as an integrator in continuous improvement in work operations. The current study, provides an insight into a research conducted in one of the leading companies in the finance sector. The objective of this research is to investigate the effects of shiftwork, team size, team building training and demographic variables (age, gender, tenure, position, education) on the team climate dimensions in an organizational setting. The results indicate that there are significant differences between teams climates in terms of team size, team building training and shiftwork. In contrast, results revealed no significant difference between teams for the demographic variables such as age, gender, tenure, education level and the position of the participants.
