Özet
ÖZET“Çağdaş Heykel ve Teknoloji”konusundaki bu araştırma iki bölümden meydana gelmektedir. Heykelde Teknoloji başlığını taşıyan I.Bölüm Teknolojinin Sanattaki yansımaları, Heykelde Yeni Malzemelerin Kullanılması, Kitle İletişi Araçlarının Sanatta Kullanımı ve Dijital Heykel olmak üzere dört alt başlıkta incelenir. Teknolojide Heykel başlığını taşıyan II. Bölüm ise Teknolojinin Toplum Üzerindeki Etkileri, Teknoloji ve Yaratıcılık Teknoloji, Estetik Kaygı ve Bauhaus olmak üzere üç alt başlıkta ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada 20.yy'da gelişen teknolojinin çağdaş heykeli nasıl etkilediği örneklerle incelenmekte; Heykel sanatına katkıları anlatılmaktadır. Endüstriyel tasarım ürünlerini estetik açıdan ele almaktadır. Çalışma heykel sanatı ve teknolojinin karşılıklı etkileşimi hakkında yapılan bilgi aktarımıyla bir araştırma niteliği taşımaktadır. Tez konusunun bugün de sıcaklığını koruması ve teknolojinin her geçen gün ilerlemesi bu araştırmanın sonuçlanmasını önlemektedir. Ancak devam etmekte olan bu süreç hakkında fikir jimnastiği yapma imkanı tanımıştır. VI

SUMMARY This study of“Modern Sculpture and Technology”is derived from two divisions. The first part entitled Technology within Sculpture analyses the four subtitles - The Reflections of Technology in Sculpture, Utilisation of New Materials in Sculpture, Public Communication Vehicles Utilised in Sculpture and Digital Sculpture. Respectively, the second part entitled Sculpture within Technology is divided into three subtitles comprising of The Social Effects of Technology, Technology and Creative Technology and Aesthetic Efforts of Bauhaus. This study analyses the effects of Technology upon Modern Sculpture with examples from the 20th century; The effects upon the Art of Sculpture is illustrated. Products of Mass Industry is analysed from an aesthetic perspective. A research study is derived from the two-way interaction of information between the Arts Discipline of Sculpture and Technology. Formulating conclusions to this thesis is prevented due to the current modernity of thesis issues and the ever expanding technological developments and their intervention to Art. It is possible however to suggest arguments to this continuing process. vn
