Özet

ÖZET 'İlköğretim 6. Sınıflarda Fen Bilgisi Dersinde Çiçekli Bitkiler Konusunun Öğretiminde Bilgisayar Destekli Öğretimin Öğrenci Başarısına Etkisi" adlı bu araştırma İlköğretim okullarındaki öğrencilerin Fen Bilgisi derslerindeki basanlarını artırmak için Bilgisayar Destekli Öğretimin kullanılmasının getireceği sonuçları incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma, Kastamonu İli şehir merkezinde bulunan 23 Ağustos İlköğretim Okulu ile Merkez İlköğretim Okulu'nda yapılmıştır. Araştırmada kullanılan bilgisayar yazılımı İlköğretim 6. Sınıflarda Fen Bilgisi Dersinde Çiçekli Bitkiler Konusunu anlatmak üzere araştırmacı tararından Macromedia Authorware yazarlık programıyla hazırlanmıştır. Araştırmada her iki İlköğretim okulundan rastgele birer 6. sınıf şubesi seçilmiştir. Her iki şubede rastgele kontrol ve deney grupları oluşturulmuştur. Oluşturulan kontrol ve deney gruplarının denkliği uygulama öncesi yapılan öntest sonuçlan ve 5. sınıf fen ders notlan kullanılarak gösterilmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak basan testleri ve anket geliştirilmiş ve elde edilen veriler bağımsız T testi ve varyans analizi (ANOVA) istatistik teknikleriyle incelenmiştir. Uygulamanın bitiminden iki hafta sonra deney ve kontrol grubuna son test uygulanmıştır. Son test sonuçlarına göre deney ve kontrol grubu arasında uygulanan yöntemler bakımından başarı düzeylerine göre anlamlı bir fark olup olmadığı bağımsız T testi testi ile ortaya konmuştur. Sonuç olarak çiçekli bitkiler konusunun öğretiminde bilgisayar destekli öğretim yöntemi ile ders işleyen öğrencilerin lehine anlamlı bir fark olduğu görülmüştür. Bu sonuçlara dayanarak çiçekli bitkiler konusunun öğretiminde bilgisayar destekli öğretim yönteminin geleneksel öğretim yöntemine göre daha etkili olduğu sonucuna varılabilir.

11 ABSTRACT This research entitled“The Effect of Computer Assisted Instruction on Sixth Grade Students' Academic Achievement in the Teaching of Flowery Plants in Science Course at Primary Education”was done in order to investigate the effects of Computer Assisted instruction in Science Course. The research was carried out at 23 Ağustos Primary School and at Merkez Primary School in the centre of Kastamonu. The software used in the research was prepared by the researcher using Macromedia Authorware program in order to teach Flowery Plants in Science Course. In the research, one sixth grade class from each Primary School was taken through random selection, These classes selected from both Primary Schools were randomly assigned to control and experiment groups, The protest applied before the research and the students' science course grades at fifth grade were used in order to show that both the control group and the experimental group were academically equal before the treatment. Academic achievement tests and questionnaires were prepared as a means of collecting data, and the data collected were analyzed through statistical techniques such as Independent Samples T test and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The posttest was applied in the control group and the experimental group two weeks after the treatment. According to the results of the posttest, the Independent Samples T test was used in order to show whether there was a significant difference between the groups regarding their academic achievement in terms of the methods applied in the groups in conclusion, a significant difference was observed in favor of the students who studied Flowery Plants through computer assisted instruction in terms of academic achievement. Based on these results, it can be concluded that Computer Assisted Instruction is more effective than the Traditional Method of Instruction in the teaching of Flowery Plants.
