Özet
332 ÖZET Bu doktora tezinin amacı, müze ve tarihi mekanlarla tarih öğretiminin; tarihi, eğitimbilimsel ve psikolojik temellerini irdelemek ve tarih öğretmenlerinin,“müze eğitimi'ne”ilişkin görüşlerini değerlendirmektedir. Bu tez iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. I. Bölümde konuya teorik yaklaşılarak, birinci olarak, Türkiye'de tarihçiliğin gelişimine bakılmıştır. Bu bağlamda üniversite tarih lisansı programları incelenmiştir. Daha sonra okul tarih programlarının müze gezilerine ilişkin direktifleri ele alınmıştır, ikinci olarak; müzelerle ve tarihi mekanlarla öğrenme psikolojisi üzerine yapılan çalışmalar aktarılmıştır. Üçüncü olarak, müzelerin ve tarihi mekanların tanımı, türleri ve işlevleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Dördüncü olarak, tarihî sit alanına gezi-gözlem yönteminin etkili kullanılması üzerine teorik bilgiler verilmiştir. Beşinci olarak, somut kanıtlara ( nesne, fotoğraf, belgesel ve temsili resimler ve tarihî yapı gibi) dayalı bir tarih öğretiminde nasıl yapılmalıdır? sorusuna cevap aranmıştır. Bu çerçevede ister etnografya, ister sanat ve arkeoloji müzeleri olsun, geçmişe ait somut kanıt içeren her türlü müzeyi ve tarihî mekanı, ilköğretim ve ortaöğretim düzeyinde tarih öğretiminde büyük ölçüde kullanabileceğini göstermek ve bu eğitim ortamında nasıl ders yapabileceği, hangi yöntem ve teknikler, uygulanabileceği konusunda literatür çalışmasına dayalı olası etkinlikler verilmiştir. Tezin II. bölümünde tarih öğretmenlerinin müze eğitimine ilişkin görüşleri ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Araştırmanın evreni, Ankara ilinde ilköğretim ve ortaöğretimdeki tarih öğretmenleridir. Araştırmanın örneklemi, Ankara ilinde ilköğretim ve ortaöğretimdeki görevli 204 tarih öğretmeni ile sınırlıdır. Burada 28 soru bağlamında tarih öğretmenlerinin müze eğitimine yaklaşımı ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Araştırmaya ilişkin bulgular şöyledir; 1.Tarih öğretmenleri, müze eğitimine ilişkin olumlu görüşlere sahiptir. 2.Tarih öğretmenlerinin mezuniyetine, kıdemine çalıştıkları okul öğretim düzeyine göre müze eğitimine ilişkin görüşlerinde bazı farklılıklar görünmektedir.

333 SUMMARY The aim of this dissertation is to examine the historical, educational and psychological foundations of teaching history with museums and historical places and also to evaluate the view of history teachers upon the museum education. This Ph. D thesis consists of two chapters. At the first chapter, firstly, the development of historiography in Turkey is taken into account. At this juncture, the curriculum of history department in Turkish universities is investigated in terms of the places of museum education. The directives concerning field trip to museum and historical places in the curriculum of school history is touched. Secondly, certain works upon the learning psychology in Museum and Historical places are evaluated. Thirdly, the descriptions, types and functions of museum and historical places are dwelled upon. Fourthly, the theoretical knowledge, reached after the some kind of applications on the Field Trip method to museum and historical places is transmitted. Fifthly, the question of how to teach history thorough concrete evidence including historical objects, photographs, historical pictures and historical buildings is answered. At the second chapter, the findings of descriptive research on the view of History teachers upon the Museum Education are given. The sample comprised 204 teachers. A questionnaire was used to gather data. The questionnaire included 59 items related to museum education views. The t- test was performed an certain item to determine if there were significant differences between two group means. The 0.05 level was designed as criterion for significance. The results of this research can be summarized as follows: 1. History teachers have got positive views on the museum education. 2. There are certain differences among the views of history teacher on Museum education in Turkey in terms of their graduation, their lengths of services and the grades they are teaching from 6th to 1 1th.
