Dr. Sebahattin ÇEVİKBAŞ Bu araştırmada, eğitim felsefecisi olarak öne çıkan Dewey'in düşüncelerinde bilgi ve bilimin elde edilmesi sürecinde eğitimin rolü ve bilgi ile bilimin özellikleri araştırılmıştır. Elde edilen bilgilerin felsefe ve bilim dünyasına kazandırılması arzulanmıştır. Bu arzunun gerçekleşmesi de; John Dewey'in ilgili eserleri ve John Dewey hakkında hazırlanan eserlerin incelenerek değerlendirilmesi sonucunda olmuştur. John Dewey'in bilgi ve bilim konularında iddialı görüşlerine ulaşılmıştır. Bilgi ve bilim, deneyden aldıkları güç sayesinde insanlığa ve doğaya yaşamsal faaliyetlerde vazgeçilmez olanaklar sunmaktadır. Bilgi ve bilim felsefesi açısından bakıldığında ise bilginin; deneme ile gerçekleştiğini, değerli bilginin, yeni buluşlar gerçekleştiren ve problem çözen bilgi olduğunu anlamaktayız. Bilimin de denemeden gelmesi koşuluyla yaşamın her alanında gerçek ve güvenilir bir rehber olarak kabul edilebileceğini görmekteyiz.

In this research, has been investigated the role of education while getting knowledge and science and the feature of knowledge and science. When getting knowledge main wish was to cause to the philosophy and world of science to earn. At last this wish has been realized after to investigate the John Deweys's works and some works which were written about him. John Dewey's assertive views have been learned that about the subject of knowledge and science. The knowledge and science presents greatful possibilities with taking power from the experiment to the humanity and nature at the vital activity. If we investigate the knowledge from point of view of knowledge and science of philosophy, we understand the knowledge is being with experiment. And the valuable knowledge provides new inventions and helps to solve problems. The science which comes from experiment is most important guide in our life.
