KEMAN ÇALMADA ETKİN BEDENSEL YAPILARIN HAREKET ANALİZİ VE FİZİKSEL - MOTORİK ÖZELLİKLERİN GELİŞTİRİLMESİNİN ÖĞRENCİLERİN ÇALMA PERFORMANSINA YANSIMASI (Doktora Tezi) Nihan YAĞIŞAN GAZİ ÜNİVERSİTESİ FEN BİLİMLERİ ENSTİTÜSÜ Temmuz 2002 ÖZET Bu araştırmada, keman çalmada etkin olan bedensel yapılana anatomik yapı ve fizyolojik işleyiş analizi ve belirli fiziksel - motorik özelliklerin geliştirilmesine yönelik düzenli bir egzersiz programının çalma performansına katkısının belirlenmesi, bütün bunlarla keman eğitimine farklı bir anlayış ve yaklaşım getirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç, araştırmanın betimsel ve deneysel olmak üzere iki boyutta tasarlanıp gerçekleştirilmesini zorunlu kılmıştır. Araştırmanın betimsel boyutunda; keman çalmada etkin olarak kullanılan bedensel yapıların tespiti, duruş-tutuş ve çalma esnasındaki işleyişlerine yönelik yapısal ve fonksiyonel hareket analizleri, kmesyoloji ve biyomekanik alanında kullanılan, ancak araştırmanın gereklerine göre şekillendirilen bir 'hareket analizi tekniği' kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Keman eğitimi alan öğrencilerin fiziksel-motorik özelliklerinin geliştirilmesine yönelik düzenli yapılan egzersizlerin, çalma performansına katkısının araştırıldığı deneysel boyutta ise, deney kontrol grupLU 'ön test - işlem - son test' desenine dayalı bir yöntem izlenmiş v£ veriler çeşitli istatistiksel analiz teknikleriyle çözümlenmiştir.Betimsel veri analizlerinden elde edilen bulgular sonucunda, ilgili bedensel yapıların işleyiş mekanizmalarını tanımanın ve onlara uygun hareket etmenin doğru ve etkili keman çalma tekniğinin temelini oluşturacağı belirgin bir biçimde ortaya konmuştur. m MOTION ANALYSIS OF THE BODY STRUCTURES EFFECTIVE EV VIOLIN PLAYING AND THE EFFECT ON PERFORMANCE OF VIOLIN STUDENTS OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PHYSICAL - MOTORIC CHARACTERISTICS (Ph.D Thesis) Nihan YA?IŞAN GAZI UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY July 2002 ABSTRACT The aims of this study were the analysis of the anatomic structure and physiological functioning of the body structures effective in violin playing; determination of the contribution to playing performance of a period of systematic exercise aimed at the development of certain physical-motorical characteristics such as, strength, coordination, flexibility, and endurance; and as a result of these, to propose a novel understanding and approach to violin education. This has necessitated the planning and execution of the research in two phases, one analytical, and the other experimental In the analytical part of the study, the body structures effectively used in violin playing were determined, and the structural and functional motion analyses of the functioning of these structures during posture and holding of the violin were analyzed using the 'motion analysis technique* used in kinesiology and biomechanics, but modified to suit the requirements of the present research. In the experimental part of the study, aimed at the investigation of the contributionTV to playing performance of violin education students of a period of systematic exercise aimed at the development of certain physical-motoric characteristics, the method of 'preliminary test; processing; final test* together with a control group was followed. The data was analyzed using different statistical techniques. In the light of the findings from the examination of the analytical data, it has been demonstrated that, becoming aware of the functioning mechanisms of the relevant body structures and acting accordingly is the basis of correct and efficient violin playing. From the findings of the analysis of the experimental data, it has been observed (with a p~vahte < 0.01 to 0.05 in favor of the test group) that a period of systematic and continuous exercise can significantly develop certain physical-motoric characteristics, and that this development may have a positive influence on the playing performance. This has been determined (with &p-value < 0.01 in favor of the test group) by means of a metronome test applied to the left-hand finger agility for checking the violin playing performance. In view of the results of this research, it is suggested that students and educators of a musical instrument, especially of the violin, include in their practicing and education methods, a warming up period consisting of suitable physical exercises, particularly prior to playing/practicing.
