Özet
11 ÖZET Ülkemizde uygulanan biyoloji ders programında baza aksaklıkların olduğu bilinmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, öğrencilerin biyoloji konularına karşı olan ilgilerini ve biyoloji dersinin amaçlarının ne düzeyde gerçekleştiğini belirleyerek, bu konuda önerilerde bulunmaktır. Bunu belirleyebilmek için, veri toplama aracı olarak anket ve basan testi geliştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise 2002-2003 eğitim-öğretim yılında Ankara ilindeki Sincan Lisesi 1. sınıfta okuyan 75 ve Etimesgut Lisesi 1. sınıfta okuyan 67 öğrenci olmak üzere toplam 142 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Önce Öğrencilerin seviyelerini belirleyebilmek amacıyla Mantıklı Düşünme Yetenek Testi uygulanmıştır. Geliştirilen anketin I. bölümünde biyoloji konularının öğretiminde kullanılan yöntem ve tekniklerle ilgili 8, araç-gereçlerin yeterliliği ile ilgili 6, öğrencilerin biyolojiye karşı olan ilgilerini belirlemek amacıyla 4 sorudan yararlanılmış, II. bölümünde ise biyoloji dersinin genel amaçlarına, ayrıca“Bir Bilim Olarak Biyoloji”,“2000'li Yılların Bilimi Biyoloji”,“Canlıların Temel Bileşenleri”ve“Canlılığın Temel Birimi -Hücre”bölümlerinin amaçlarına yönelik anket sorulan ve 20' şer soruluk basan testi uygulanmıştır. Yapılan değerlendirmeler sonucunda; biyoloji dersinde genellikle klasik öğretim yöntemlerinin ve araç - gereçlerin kullanıldığı saptanmıştır. Öğrencilerin biyoloji dersini, laboratuvar uygulamalarına ve gezi-gözlem gibi yöntemlere fazla yer verilmediğinden dolayı ezber dersi olarak gördükleri belirlenmiştir. Basan testinden alınan sonuçlara göre ise, ezbere dayalı sorularda başarının daha yüksek olduğu, mantığa ve yoruma dayalı sorularda başarının zayıf olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sonuçta, biyoloji dersinin amaçlarının gerçekleşmediği tespit edilmiştir.

m ABSTRACT It is known that in our country biology lesson programme has some troubles. The purposes of this study are to find the students' interests to biology and to make some advice ofter determinig the realizing degree of biology lesson purposes. For determining this, poll and success test as a data collecting vehicle was developed. The sample of this study is totally 142 students from 75 students educated in Sincan High School's first class in Ankara and 67 students educated in Etimesgut High School's first class. First, to determine the level of the students, Logical Thinking Ability (LTA) Test was developed. The poll's first part has 8 questions related with tecniques and ways to educate biology, 6 questions related with competence of the education auxiliary vehicles and 4 questions to determine the students' interests to biology, second part has poll questions related with subjects of“Biology as a science”,“Biology as the the science of years of 2000”,“Basic Compenents of Living Things”and“Basic Unit of Living-The Cell”and 20 questions success test for each subject was held. As a result of the assessment, generally it is understood that classical education tecniques and vehicles were used in biology lesson. It is known that the students see biology as a memorizing lesson because of not giving more importance to laboratory applications and expedition-deservation. The results depend on the success is high but in the questions depend on logic and interpretation success is low. Finally, it is found that the purposes of the biology lesson are not realized.
