Özet

ÖZET Lise 2. Sınıf Türkiye Coğrafyası dersi Türkiye İklimi ünitesi' nin öğretiminde uygulanan eleştirel düşünme yönteminin öğrenci başarısında etkili olup olmadığını saptamaya yönelik bu araştırma, deneysel yöntem kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Türkiye Coğrafyası dersine ait Türkiye İklimi ünitesinin eleştirel düşünme yöntemi kullanılarak öğretilmesini hedefleyen bu araştırmada, biri deney diğer ise kontrol grubu olmak üzere iki grup seçilmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini, Şerefli Koçhisar Anadolu Lisesi 2002 - 2003 Eğitim - Öğretim yılı Lise 2. Sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmuştur (n=60). Deneklerin seçimi tamamen random (yansız atama) yapılmıştır. Araştırmada öntest - sontest kontrol gruplu desen kullanılmıştır. Öne sürülen 6 hipotezin tamamı doğrulanmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak söz konusu üniteye ait konulardan oluşan 40 soruluk bir test kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde iki değişken arasındaki farkın anlamlılığını saptamada kullanılan t-testi kullanılmıştır. Ill ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to find whether critical thinking method is effective on student achievement or not in, the climate of Turkey chapter of grade 10 Turkey Geography course. This research has been done by conducting experimental method. Two groups were selected, one was control and the other one was experimental group for this research which aimed at looking at the effectiveness of critical thinking method that is used in teaching the Turkey Climate chapter. The sample group of this research consisted of all senior students of Şerefli Koçhisar Anatolian High School who attended in the academic year of 2002 - 2003 (n= 60). The members of the sample group were selected randomly. The pretest - postest control group experimental method was conducted in this research. All 6 hypotheses that were conducted for this research were verified. In order to collect data from samples, a test scale that has 40 questions about Turkey Climate chapter was used.
