in YÜKSEK LİSANS TEZ ÖZETİ ? m HALKA ARZLAR VE SPORTİF ŞİRKETLERİN HALKA ARZI Cüneyt BADEMCİ işletme Ana Bilim Dalı Afyon Kocatepe Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Mayıs 2003 Danışman : Prof.Dr. Davut AYDIN Çalışmada halka arz kavramı ve sportif şirketlerin halka arzı incelenmiştir. Bunun için çalışmamızda öncelikle örgütsel kurumsallaşma ve mali sistem ardından halka arz kavramı ve halka arzın gerçekleştirilmesindeki ülkemizdeki yasal süreçler açıklanmıştır. Uygulama bölümünde ise global ve yerel baz da çevre ve futbol sektörü incelenerek Galatasaray ve Beşiktaş Spor kulüpleri analiz edilmiştir. Yine bu bölümde bu şirketlerin halka açıldıkları günden bu yana olan Ulusal-100 endeksine bağlı olarak hisse fiyatları incelenmiş ve halka arz fiyatından oldukça gerilediği ve halka arzı kaynak sağlama açısından şirketler için başarılı olmuş fakat şirket prestiji, hisse performansı ve yatırımcıların kazancı açısından başarılı sayılabilecek bir halka arz olmadığı ortaya konmuştur.

IV ABSTRACT INTIAL PUBLIC OFFERINGS & SPORTS COMPANIES Cüneyt BADEMCİ Department of Management Afyon Kocatepe Universty, The Institue of Social Sciences May 2003 Advisor :AYDIN, Davut, Ph.d. The aim of this study is to discuss the meaning of IPO and its application to the sporting companies. For this purpose, intibally discussed the moneteary sistem and teh organizational structure, the next step is to explain the IPO nation and legal phases of IPOs in our country. Our case study is about the exzamination of Galatasaray, Inc. And Beşiktaş Inc. within the perspective of global and local meaning. Also in this section starting from their IPO dates, both Galatasaray, Inc. And Beşiktaş, Inc's price data are compared with the ISE-100. The result of this compareison process shaves us that both companies current price are lower than their IPO's It is also found out that both companies causes their long-buyers lost money, assuming that these buyers bought these stocks when the respective IPO's are intilliazed. Therefore both IPOs representing the sports industry are failed in the eyes of customers.
