ABSTRACT This study, which consists of five chapters, is an attempt to help the students in Engineering Faculty of Anadolu University. And the purpose of this study is to help the students' understanding and production of the language when English is taught. In Chapter 1, the general background to the problem is discussed, and the problem, the aim and the limitation of this study are introduced. Chapter II reviews literature relavent to the study. Chapter III presents the research design, selection of activities and the method of teaching. Chapter IV is devoted to the results of data analysis Chapter V consists of conclusion of the study, and suggestions for further studies.. IX
