Özet

ÖZET Bu çalışma ile“kuvvet etkisinde cisimler nasıl davranır?”konusunun öğretilmesinde çizimlerle destekli öğretim yöntemi ve geleneksel öğretim yönteminin öğrencilerin öğrenmelerine etkisi araştırılmıştır. Araştırma için 2004-2005 öğretim yılında Aydın ili Söke ilçesinde bulunan Felekşan Fırat ve Sıdıka ilköğretim Okulları 7. sınıf öğrencilerinden deney ve kontrol grupları oluşturulmuştur. Çalışmada iki farklı ölçme aracı kullanılmıştır. Bunlar: Bilimsel Basan Testi (deney ve kontrol gruplarında yer alan öğrencilerin basan derecelerini belirlemek için) ve Fen Bilgisi Tutum Ölçeği (deney ve kontrol gruplarında yer alan öğrencilerin fen bilgisi dersine yönelik tutumlarının, uygulanan öğrenme yöntemine bağlı olup olmadığım sınamak için). Bu ölçme araçlarından elde edilen veriler, SPSS yardımıyla bağımsız gruplar için t - testi analizi kullanılarak yorumlanmıştır. Yapılan istatistiki çalışmalar sonucunda, çizimlerle destekli öğretim yönteminin uygulandığı deney grubunda yer alan öğrencilerin, geleneksel öğretim yönteminin uygulandığı kontrol grubunda yer alan öğrencilerden daha başarılı olduğu bulunmuştur. Ayrıca yapılan çalışmalar sonucunda çizimlerle destekli öğretim yönteminin, öğrencilerin fen bilgisi dersine yönelik tutumlarım olumlu yönde etkilediği tespit edilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın sonunda, çizimlerle destekli öğretim yönteminin, fen konularının öğretiminde“görselleştirme”yi sağlayarak, öğrencilerin kavrama düzeylerini arttıracak, fen sevmelerine ve fen bilimlerine merak duymalarına katkı sağlayabilecek bir yaklaşım olduğu belirlenmiştir.

ABSTRACT In this study, effect of traditional and drawing assisted teaching methods on students' learning is searched in“ How materials behave under force?”chapter. The study is applied in 2004 - 2005 semester with the 7th grade students by forming control and experimental groups in Felekşan Fırat and Sıdıka primary schools in Söke. Two different experimental methods were used for this study. Scientific Success Test (The tool is used to compare the success degrees of the students in the control and experimental groups). Science attitude scale (The tool is used in order to test whether the attitude of the students is related to the teaching method). The data obtianed through this evaluation tools are analyzed by using SPSS, in addition, independent t - tests analysis is used for groups. The statistical analysis shows that student who are applied“Drawing Assisted Teaching”is more succesfull than the students who are applied“Traditional Teaching Methods”. In addition, considering the works done, at the end of the semester“Drawing Assisted Teaching”had a higher success rate. Consequently, the results of this study shows that“Drawing Assisted Teaching”method is an education approach that helps students in visualizing the science. In addition, it facilitates the students to effectively learn and increase the level of comprehension the ideas with the help of this approach students become more capable to get the knowledge. u
