Özet
vııı ÖZET Bu çalışma, lojistik sektöründe dış kaynak kullanımı kavramının ve buradan hareketle Üçüncü Parti Lojistik (3PL) ve Dördüncü Parti Lojistik (4PL) kavramlarının gün geçtikçe artan önemini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu amaçla, çalışmada, dış kaynak kullanımı (outsourcing), 3PL ve 4PL kavramları detaylı olarak incelenmiştir. Çalışmada, lojistikte dış kaynak kullanımının evrimine odaklanılmıştır. Taşımayı satın almadan başlayan bu evrim süreci, 3PL firmalarıyla sözleşmeli ortaklıklar kurularak gelişmiş ve şimdilik son aşama olarak kabul edilen 4PL ile tamamlanmıştır. 4PL uygulaması, lojistik hizmetlerinin yanında yönetim ve danışmanlık hizmetlerini de kapsaması sebebiyle global sınırlar içerisinde daha profesyonel olarak kabul edilmektedir. Bu yüzden çalışmada daha çok, evrimin son aşaması olan 4PL uygulamasının önemi vurgulanmıştır. Son bölüm olan uygulama kısmında, Türkiye'de lojistik sektörünün önde gelen firmalarına, firmaların hizmet anlayışlarını ve kapsamlarını, 3PL'ten 4PL'ye geçiş süreci içerisinde olup olmadıklarını, 4PL hakkında farkındalık düzeylerim ve gelecekte 4PL hizmeti verip vermeyeceklerini belirlemek amacıyla anket yapılmıştır. Ancak, bu firmaların çoğunun gerekli ilgiyi göstermemesi, anketi dolduracak yetkililerin büyük bir kısmının yıllık izinde olması, dolayısıyla doğru kişilere ulaşılamaması gibi nedenlerden dolayı beklenen sayıda geri dönüş olmamıştır. Bu yüzden, anketi eksiksiz gönderen 10 firmanın cevaplan değerlendirilmiştir. Bu anket, çalışmanın sonunda Ek 1 olarak sunulmuştur. Anket sonuçlan ve elde edilen veriler uygulama bölümünde ele alınmış ve yorumlanmıştır.

IX ABSTRACT This study aims to investigate the importance of the concept of logistics outsourcing. Starting with this, it scrutinizes the increasing importance of the concepts of Third Party Logistics and Fourth Party Logistics. Therefore, the concepts of outsourcing, 3PL and 4PL are investigated in detail in the study. The evolution of logistics outsourcing is the main focus of the study. This process of evolution,which starts with the purchase of transportation, has developed by establishing contractual partnerships and finally ends with 4PL which is accepted as the final phase. The 4PL application is considered as a more professional application globally due to the fact that it includes management and consultancy services as well. That's why the study emphasizes the importance of 4PL as it is the final phase of this evolution. A survey has been carried out in the last part of the thesis. The survey targets the prior companies of the sector logistics, aiming to investigate their service policy and variety of their services. It explores whether they are in the process of transfer from 3PL to 4PL, their level of awareness about 4PL and whether they are planning to give 4PL services or not. However, there haven't been enough responds to the survey due to the lack of interest of the companies to the problem. Other reasons are of course that the survey was held during the holiday season where it was hard to approach the right contacts who were on vacation. The 10 complete responds are considered for evaluation. The data acquired by this survey is presented and the derived results are interpreted in the last chapter The survey is given as Appendix 1 at the end of this document. The results of the survey and the gathered data are evaluated in the fourth chapter.
