Yüksek Lisans Tezi TARİHSEL SÜREÇ İÇİNDE GİYİMDE ESTETİK VE İŞLEVSELLİK Duygu ÖZGÜL Anadolu Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Endüstriyel Sanatlar Anabilim Dalı Danışman: Yard. Doç. Dr. Sıdıka BİLGEN 2005, 48 sayfa Bu tezin ilk bölümünde, tarihsel süreç içinde giyimde estetik ve işlevsellik üzerine genel bilgiler verilmiştir. Tezin ikinci bölümünde, giyim ve giyimin tarihsel gelişimi konuları yer almış, üçüncü bölümünde, giyimde estetik ve işlevsellik kavramları açıklanarak estetik ve işlevsel açıdan ön plana çıkan giysiler incelenmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde ise, tarihsel süreç içinde ön plana çıkan giysiler ile günümüzdeki giysilerin estetik ve işlevsel özellikleri kıyaslanmıştır. Araştırma yöntemi olarak tarihsel yöntem kullanılmış, elde edilen bilgiler sonucunda tezin sonucu yazılarak önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

ABSTRACT Master of Science Thesis HISTORICAL ASPECT OF AESTHETICS AND FUNCTIONALITY OF CLOTHING Duygu ÖZGÜL Anadolu University Graduate School of Sciences Industrial Arts Program Supervisor: Assist. Prof. Dr. Sıdıka BİLGEN 2005, 48 pages In the first part of the thesis, general information on historical aspect of aesthetics and functionality of clothing is discussed. In the second part of the thesis, clothing and historical development of clothing is mentioned. Besides, clothing that have gained priority in the way of functionality is examined including the explanation of the consepts of aesthetics and functionality in clothing in the third part of the study. The fourth part aims to make a comparison of the aesthetics and functional properties of the clothes that have reflected the trends of old times and recent times. Historical method has been used in this research as a method and suggestions are given in the light of the datas obtained.
