ABSTRACT I have carried out this stisty to find the effectiveness of suggestopedia in teaching dialogues. The major aim is to find out a way to improve the learner's knowledge of the target language. The first chapter attempts to give the background to the study as well as the aim and the scope. The second chapter reviews literature relevant to the subject. The structure of a suggestopedic course is examined throughout the third chapter. Chapter four considers the studies related to some of the components of suggestopedia (stress, relaxation therapy, imagery, brain functions, and hypnosis).The final chapter provides a summary and concluding remarks. The present study has five appendices. The first appendix is the lesson plan to present the dialogue to be studied. The second appendix contains the suggestology music list accompanying the presentation of dialogues, whereas the third appendix includes a glossary of suggestopedia.
