Özet
Öğrenme içerik yönetim sistemleri (Ö YS) konu uzmanlarının e-öğrenme derslerinihızlıca tasarlamasını, oluşturmasını, dağıtmasını ve sonuçlarını ölçmesini sağlar. Ö YSuygulamaları bireysel öğrencilere uygun bilgiyi sunmak için ölçeklenebilir platform sunar.Bu çalışma eğitim teknolojileri ile ilgili değişik seviyelerde bilgi sahibi olan eğitimcilerinkullanabileceği SCORM uyumlu bir Ö YS uygulaması geliştirmeyi ve uygulamayıamaçlamıştır.Uygulama geliştirme süreci içinde, kullanılabilirlik problemlerinin ve hatalarınmümkün olduğunca erken farkına varmak için pilot ve geçerleme olmak üzere ikideğerlendirme çalışması yapılmıştır. Pilot çalışma, BU-LCMS'in hedef kullanıcı grubu ileseçilen görevlerin gerçekleştirebildiğini test etmek için geliştirme aşamasının sonlarınadoğru yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre sistem ve veri toplama araçları gözdengeçirilmiş ve geliştirilmiştir. BU-LCMS'in geliştirilmiş versiyonunun daha öncetanımlanan kullanıcı ihtiyaçlarını karşıladığını test etmek amacıyla geçerleme çalışmasıyapılmıştır. Pilot çalışması ile geçerleme çalışması arasında kullanılabilirlik testi sonuçlarıbakımından anlamlı bir değişme tespit edilmiştir. Bu sonuç, pilot çalışmadan sonra yapılanrevizyonların kullanıcılarının sistemi kullanma kolaylığını arttırmada etkili olduğunubelirtmektedir. Ayrıca, değişik seviyelerde teknoloji becerilerine sahip ve farklıözelliklerdeki eğitimcilerin BU-LCMS'i kullanışlılık açısından değerlendirmeleri arasındaistatiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark olmadığı tespit edilmiştir.

Learning content management systems (LCMS) are designed to enable subjectmatter experts to design, to create, to deliver and to measure the result of e-learningcourses quickly. LCMS applications offer a scalable platform to deliver proprietaryknowledge to individual learners. This study aims to develop and to implement a SCORMcompliant LCMS that can be used by educators with varying degrees of backgroundknowledge on educational technologies. Therefore, the study will mainly focus onunderstanding the usability of the developed system among students at the faculty ofeducation with varying degrees of computer literacy.In order to anticipate usability problems and errors as early as possible in thesoftware development process, two usability studies were conducted, namely beta andvalidation study. Beta study had been conducted at the late development phase of thesystem and aimed to test BU-LCMS with target user groups performing representativetasks to ensure able/functional product. The system and data collection tools were alsorevised according to the results of the beta study. After completing the revisions that betastudy results emphasized, a validation study, conducted at the end of the developmentprocess, aimed to verify that BU-LCMS meets previously identified users needs. Theresults of the study indicated significant improvements in mean usability scores from thebeta to the validation study, indicating that the assessments and revisions following thebeta version were effective in improving the usability needs. Furthermore, in order to showthat BU-LCMS could effectively be used by different groups of educators, the mean ofusability scores calculated for different groups and results showed that there is notstatistically significant difference among groups.
