Lise öğrencilerinin kimlik duygusu kazanım düzeylerinin bazı kişisel-sosyal ve ailesel nitelikler ile suç davranışı düzeyi bakımından incelenmesi

Özet

Bu araştırmada, lise öğrencilerinin kimlik duygusu kazanım düzeylerinin kişisel,sosyal ve aile özellikleri açısından farklılık gösterip göstermediği ile suçdavranışları ile ilişkisi incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla, araştırmada lise öğrencilerininkişisel, sosyal özellikleri olarak, cinsiyet, yaş, okul türü, genel başarıortalamaları, doğum sırası, kardeş sayısı, yaşamın çoğunun geçirildiği yerleşimbirimi, aile, arkadaş ve okul ortamlarında kendini mutlu hissetme durumu,serbest zaman etkinliklerine katılma durumu, fiziksel görünümünden memnunolma durumu; aile özellikleri olarak annenin öğrenim durumu, babanın öğrenimdurumu, anne babanın birliktelik durumu, algılanan sosyo ekonomik düzeyi,algılanan anne tutumu, algılanan baba tutumu, ailenin arkadaşlarını onaylamadurumu değişken olarak ele alınmıştır.Araştırmanın evrenini, 2004- 2005 Eğitim Öğretim Yılında Eskişehir lindebulunan 34 lisede öğrenim görmekte olan 27900 öğrenci oluşturmuştur.Araştırma kapsamına tüm lise türlerini temsil edecek şekilde seçilen 11 lisealınmış ve her sınıf düzeyinden şubeler rasgele belirlenerek bu sınıflardabulunan 1454 öğrenci örneklemi oluşturmuştur. Lise öğrencilerinin kimlikduygusu kazanım düzeylerine ilişkin veriler, ?Kimlik Duygusu Ölçeği? (Köker,1997) ile öğrencilerin suç kabul edilen davranışlarına ilişkin veriler ise ?SuçDavranışları Ölçeği? (Kaner, 1996) ile toplanmıştır. Lise öğrencilerinin kişisel,sosyal ve aile özelliklerine ilişkin verilerin toplanması için araştırmacı tarafındanhazırlanan ?Kişisel Bilgi Formu? kullanılmıştır.Araştırmada veri toplama araçları ile elde edilen bilgilerin çözümlenmesi, ?SPSS10.0.0 for Windows? paket programı ile bilgisayar ortamında gerçekleştirilmiştir.Verilerin analizi sırasında, betimleyici istatistiklerin yanı sıra bağımsız gruplararası t testi, Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi uygulanmıştır. F testi önemlibulunduğunda Tukey HSD testi kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca araştırmada liseöğrencilerinin kimlik duyguları ve suç davranışları arasındaki ilişkilerinincelenmesi amaçlandığından Pearson Momentler Çarpımı KorelasyonKatsayısı tekniği de kullanılmıştır. Tüm istatistiksel çözümler için önemlilikdüzeyi .05 olarak alınmıştır.Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlara göre; lise öğrencilerinin büyükçoğunluğunun kimlik duygusu kazanımları orta düzeyde bulunmuştur. Liseöğrencilerinin kimlik duygusu kazanım düzeyleri okul türü, genel başarıortalamaları, doğum sırası, kardeş sayısı, yaşamın çoğunun geçirildiği yerleşimbirimi, aile, arkadaş ve okul ortamlarında kendini mutlu hissetme durumu,serbest zaman etkinliklerine katılma durumu, fiziksel görünümünden memnunolma durumuna göre farklılık göstermektedir. Ayrıca, annenin öğrenim durumu,babanın öğrenim durumu, algılanan sosyo ekonomik düzey, algılanan annetutumu, algılanan baba tutumu, ailenin arkadaşlarını onaylama durumuna görede lise öğrencilerinin kimlik duygusu kazanım düzeyleri farklılaşmagöstermektedir. Bununla birlikte lise öğrencilerinin kimlik duygusu kazanımdüzeylerinin cinsiyet, yaş, anne babanın birliktelik durumuna göre farklılıkgöstermediği görülmüştür. Ayrıca, kimlik duygusu kazanım düzeyi ile suçdavranışları arasında negatif anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

In this study, it was investigatedwhether the levels of the sense of identityacquisition of high schools students differ through some personal, social andparental characteristics, and the relationship between crime behavior and thesense of identity acquisitm was examine. For this purpose; gender, age, schooltype, grade point average, birth order, the number of siblings, hometown, family,the state of happiness with friends and the schools atmosphere, attendance tofree time activities, satisfaction with the physical appearance were taken aspersonal and social characteristics; the education level of the mother, theeducation level of the father, the state of the parents (divorced or together),perceived socio-economic level, perceived mother attitude, perceived fatherattitude, and the state of approval of friends by the parents were taken as familycharacteristics in this study.27900 students who were studying in 34 high schools located in Eskişehir in2004-2005 Education Year constituted population of the research. 11 highschools chosen to cover all high school types were taken for the study, and1454 randomly selected students from all levels to form the sample were takenas the subjects of this study. The data related to the students? level of the senseof identity acquisition were collected by using ?The Sense of Identity Scale?(adopted by Köker, 1997), and the data related to the student behaviors whichare accepted as crime were collected by using ?Crime Behaviors Scale? (Kaner,1996). For the data related to personal, social and family characteristics of highschool students, ?Personal Information Form? prepared by the researcher wasused.The analysis of the data were carried out by using ?SPSS 10.0.0 for Windows?.In the analysis of the data, descriptive statistics were used along withindependent t-test and One-Way ANOVA. When F-test was found significant,Tukey HSD test was applied. Furthermore, since the aim of this study was toinvestigate the relationship between the students? sense of identity and theircrime behaviors, Pearson Product Moment Correlation Co-efficient techniquewas also used. The significance level for all statistical analysis was taken as.05.According to the results of the study, the sense of identity acquisition levels ofthe high school students was found medium level. The sense of identityacquisition levels of high school students differ according to the school type,grade point average, birth order, the number of the siblings, hometown, family,the state of happiness with friends and the schools atmosphere, attendance tofree time activities, and satisfaction with the physical appearance. Moreover, thesense of identity acquisition levels of high school students showed differenceaccording to the education level of the mother, the education level of the father,and the state of approval of friends by the parents. On the other hand, thesense of identity acquisition levels of high school students did not differaccording to gender, age and the state of the parents (divorced or together).Moreover, a negative relationship was found between the sense of identityacquisition levels and crime behavior of high school students.
