Özet

Bu ara rmada, ilkö retim okulu yöneticilerinin sosyal beceri düzeylerine göreretmenlerin i doyumu ve i stresi düzeyleri kar la lm r. Ara rma evreni,Ad yaman merkezde görev yapan ö retmenlerden olu maktad r. Ara rman nörneklemi ise, sosyal becerisi dü ük ve sosyal becerisi yüksek toplam sekiz okulmüdürüne ba çal an 205 ö retmendir. Veri toplama araçlar olarak da Riggoio(1986,1989) taraf ndan geli tirilen ve Yüksel (1997) taraf ndan Türkçe'ye uyarlananSosyal Beceri Envanteri, ahin (1999) taraf ndan geli tirilen Doyumu Ölçe i veÖnsan (1996) taraf ndan geli tirilen Stresi Ölçe i kullan lm r. Verilerinanalizinde t testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi ve Pearson Momentler ÇarpKorelasyon Katsay kullan lm r. Elde edilen bulgulara göre yöneticiler, sosyalbecerilerini yüksek düzeyde; ö retmenler de i stresi ve i doyumlar orta düzeydealg lamaktad r. Yöneticilerin sosyal beceri düzeylerine göre de ö retmenlerin hem istresi hem de i doyum düzeylerinin anlaml ekilde farkl la bulunmu tur.Ayr ca, ö retmenlerin i doyum düzeylerinin ö renci say na göre, i stresidüzeylerinin de k demlerine ve ö renci say na göre anlaml düzeyde farkl labulunmu tur. This study offers a comparison of the job satisfaction and job stress levels ofthe teachers based on the level of the social skills of the primary schooladministrators. The scope of the study consists of the teachers recruited in theprimary schools located in the provincial center of Ad yaman. Our sample consistedof 205 teachers working under eight principals with high level and low level of socialskills. The tools used in data collection consisted of the Social Skills Inventoryoriginally developed by Riggoio (1986, 1989) and adapted into Turkish by Yüksel(1997); the Job Satisfaction Scale developed by ahin (1999) and the Job StressScale developed by Önsan (1996). T test, one-sided variance analysis and Pearsonproduct moment correlation coefficient methods were used in the analysis of data.According to the findings, while administrators perceive their social skills levelshigh, teachers perceive their job stress and job satisfaction at medium level.Meanwhile, based on the level of the social skills of administrators, both the jobstress and the job satisfaction levels of the teachers were differentiated at asignificant level. It was also noted that the job satisfaction level of the teachers weredifferentiated at a significant level, contingent on the number of students; and that asignificant differentiation was noted in the levels of job stress of the teachers basedon the variables of seniority level and the number of students. While a significantdifferentiation was not noted in the levels of job satisfaction and job stress of theteachers based on the other variables. Moreover, a strong negative correlation wasmarked in the study regarding job satisfaction and job stress. The researchers and thepractitioners were provided with certain proposals based on the findings of the study.
