Özet
Arastırma; ilkögretim 8. sınıf, Fen ve Teknoloji dersinde ?Mitoz-Mayoz Hücre Bölünmeleri? konusunun yapılandırıcı fen ögretiminde kavram karikatürleri ile ögretiminin, ögrencilerin basarılarına ve duyussal özelliklerine etkisini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıstır. Arastırma deneysel bir çalısma olup, ön test-son test kontrol gruplu desen kullanılmıstır. Arastırmaya deney ( N=124) ve kontrol (N=124) gruplarının denk oldugu toplam 248 ögrenci katılmıstır. Çalısmada deney grubunda kavram karikatürüne dayalı ögretim yapılırken, kontrol grubunda geleneksel yaklasım izlenmistir. Deneysel deseni desteklemek adına nitel arastırma tekniklerinden doküman teknigi kullanılmıstır. Çalısmada veri toplama aracı olarak 25 sorudan olusan basarı testi ve yapılandırılmamıs anket formu uygulanmıstır. Basarı testinin kapsam geçerliligi uzman görüsleri alınarak belirlenmistir. Testin Cronbach-Alfa güvenirlik katsayısı 0.75 olarak bulunmustur. Arastırmada elde edilen nicel verilerin analizi bagımlı ve bagımsız gruplar için t testi kullanılarak degerlendirilmistir. Nitel verilerin analizinde betimleyici çözülmeme yapılmıstır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre; yapılandırıcı fen ögretiminde kavram karikatürleri ile yapılan ögretim lehine anlamlı bir fark tespit edilmistir. Duyussal özelliklerin etkisinin belirlenmesi asamasında elde edilen sonuçlara göre kavram karikatürlerinin uygulandıgı ögrencilerin daha dikkatli, daha istekli oldukları belirlenmistir. Deney grubundaki ögrencilerin kontrol grubundaki ögrencilere göre daha olumlu görüsler bildirdikleri tespit edilmistir.

This study is made in order to analyse the effects of teaching method in the subject of“Mitosis and Meiosis Cell Divisions”in the 8th class Science and Technology Lesson in the Constructive Science Teaching with the concept cartoons to the students and to their sensory features. This research is an experimental study and it ıncludes pre and post tests models is used. 248 students whose levels are equal, as an experimental and control groups (N=124) are participated in this study. In the analysis of the qualitative data descriptive analysis is used. In the study a traditional method is used in the control group , while a teaching method which is based on concept cartoons, is used in the experimental group. In order to support this experimental method, documentation method, one of the qualitative research methods, is used. As a data collecting device, achievement test that includes 25 questions and disconstructed questionnaire form are applied in the study. The content validity of the achievement test is determined with the help of experts. The Cronbach-Alfa reliabilty parameter is found as 0.75. The analyse of the quantitative data that is obtained is evaluated by using paired t tests and independent t tests. Qualitative data is evaulated by making descriptive analyse. According to the findings that is obtained from the analyses it is understood that teaching method that is used concept cartoons is very effective way to teach a science. It is determined that students are more motivated to the subject that is taught by using concept cartoons in sensory features. It is made out that, students in the experimental group have more positive points of view about the subject than the students, in the control group.
