Özet
Bu arastırmada, ilkögretim 4. ve 5. sınıf Sosyal Bilgiler Ders Kitabı, Ögrenci Çalısma Kitabı, Ögretmen Kılavuz Kitabının, ögretmen, ögrenci ve veli görüsleri dogrultusunda genel bir degerlendirmesini yapmak; ilgili kitapların eksik ve hatalı yönleri belirlenerek daha etkin, islevsel ve verimli olabilecek ders kitabı, ögrenci çalısma kitabı, ögretmen kılavuz kitaplarının hazırlanmasına katkıda bulunmak amaçlanmıstır. Arastırmanın çalısma evreni, Ankara ili Keçiören ve Haymana ilçelerindeki ilkögretim okullarında 2005-2006 egitim-ögretim yılında görev yapan 4. ve 5. sınıf ögretmenleri, 4. ve 5. sınıfta ögrenim gören ögrenciler ve bu ögrencilerin velilerinden olusmaktadır. Arastırma sonucunda Sosyal Bilgiler ders kitabı, ögrenci çalıma kitabı ve ögretmen kılavuz kitaplarında: 1) çerik 2) Fiziksel ve görsel özellikler 3) Dil ve anlatım 4) Ölçme ve degerlendirme boyutları ile ilgili olarak eksiklerin bulundugu belirlenmistir. Ayrıca ögretmen, ögrenci ve veli görüslerinin okulun bulundugu yerlesim bölgesine göre degismesi, kitapların çevre ve bireysel farklara uygun hazırlanmadıgı sonucunu beraberinde getirmistir. Bu sonuçlara baglı olarak ders kitabı, ögrenci çalısma kitabı ve ögretmen kılavuz kitabının yeniden gözden geçirilmesi, kitap inceleme komisyonlarına ögrenci ve veli temsilcilerinin de katılımının saglaması, kitapların çevre ve bireysel farklılıklara dikkat edilerek yeniden düzenlenmesi, gibi önerilerde bulunulmustur.

In this study it is aimed to evaluate in general the social studies textbooks, workbooks and the teacher?s guide books of the 4th and 5th grades in the primary schools according to the views of the teachers, students and the parents, It is also aimed to find the errors and the missing aspects of the books and in that way to be helpful in preparing more effective and functional textbooks, workbooks and teacher?s guide books. The study environment of the survey involves the teachers of 4th and 5th grades who had been teaching in Keçiören and Haymana districts of Ankara in the 2005-2006 season and the students of the 4th and 5th grades in there schools and the students of the parents. At the and of the survey it was found that there had been some missing aspects in the social studies textbooks, workbooks and teacher?s guide books in terms of: 1) Content, 2) Physical and visual features, 3) Language and explanation, 4) Measurement and evaluation. In addition, the differences between the views of the students, teachers and the parents of students can be seen in accordance with the environment in which they live. So this shows that the books were not prepared taking the environmental and individual differences into consideration.Considering there results it was suggested that the social studies textbook, the workbook and teacher?s guide book be revised. And it was also suggested that the representatives of the students and the parents should participate the research commision of the books. Lastly it was suggested that the books should be rewritten considering the environmental and the individual differences.
