Özet
B u çalışma yabancı dil öğretimi yapılan sınıflarda Çoklu Zeka Kuramı ile edebiyat öğretimi özellikle de kısa hikaye incelemesi yapıldığında ne gibi etkinlikler sunulabileceğini belirlemek amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. B u araştırma nitel araştırma modellerinden tarama modeli esas alınarak hazırlanmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında Çoklu Zeka kuramı sekiz zeka türüyle sınırlandırılarak tanıtılmış, kuramın eğitimde, öğrenme süreçlerinde ve yabancı dil öğretimindeki yerinden bahsedilmiştir. Kuram edebiyat öğretiminde uygulanacağından edebiyat öğretiminin yabancı dil öğretimi yapılan sınıflarda sağladığı faydalardan ve kuramın edebiyat öğretimiyle birlikte uygulanma nedenlerinden bahsedilmiştir. Bu doğrultuda çoklu zeka kuramında belirtilen sekiz zeka türüne uygun etkinlikler James Joyce'un Araby adlı kısa hikayesine uyarlanarak yeniden düzenlenmiş ve hikaye bu etkinlikler uygulanarak incelenmiştir. Etkinlikler yabancı dil öğretimi yapılan sınıflarda ileri-orta düzey için hazırlanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda edebi eserlerin, kaynak ve materyal olarak zengin ve dilsel yetilerin gelişmesine imkan veren bir yapıya sahip olması nedeniyle Çoklu Zeka Kuramının yoğun içeriğini karşılayabileceği düşünülmektedir. Bu doğrultuda bu çalışmanın sonucunda hazırlanan etkinliklerin yabancı dil öğretimi yapılan sınıflarda Çoklu Zeka Kuramı için uygun ve zengin bir materyal olarak sunulabilmesi önerilmektedir.

The aim of this study is to propose Multiple Intelligences activities for teaching literature in ELT classes. Survey method was used in the study. In the scope of the study Multiple Intelligence theory was described within the limitation of the first eight intelligences. The importance of the theory in education, learning processes and foreign language teaching is emphasized. Since the theory was proposed to be applied to literature teaching, the uses of literature teaching in foreign language teaching classes were mentioned. And in addition to this, the reasons of applying Multiple Intelligence Theory into literature teaching were explained. The Multiple Intelligences activities were adapted and designed for the study of the James Joyce?s short story called `Araby?. The activities which were designed for short story teaching were incorporated into a classroom procedure. The activities were designed for the upperintermediate level in ELT classes. In this study, it is emphasized that literature teaching and literary texts have the structure and content to respond to the intensive content of Multiple Intelligence Theory. Therefore at the end of this study, the activities which were designed for short story teaching are suggested to be applied in ELT classes as an appropriate and rich material for Multiple Intelligences Theory.
