Özet
Bu çalısmada enstalasyon ve mekanı, kavranmaya çalısılmıstır. Yakın geçmiste özellikle 1960'lardan sonra sanat alanında olusan gelismeler; sanat nesnesi ve onun sergilenecegi mekanlar konusunda farklılıkları gündeme getirmistir. Bunlarla es zamanlı olarak enstalasyon olgusu ortaya çıkmıstır. Sergi mekanlarının kendi tasıdıgı bilgiler, sergi içerigiyle bütünlesir sekilde öne çıkartılmaya baslanmıstır. Yani sanat nesnesi ve mekan arasında özel bir iliski kurulmak istenmistir. Bu iliski, mekanın tasıdıgı bilgiler açısından; fiziksel, islevsel ve anlamsal olarak kendini göstermistir. Günümüze yaklastıkça ve nihayet günümüzde enstalasyon açısından çogulcu bir ortamın varlıgından, anlamların çoklugundan, açık uçluluktan, izleyicinin katılımcılıgından ve bununla birlikte sanatçı ile iletisiminden, üretim sürecinde sanatçı ve izleyici etkilesiminden söz etmek mümkündür. zleyici, sanatçıdan bagımsız olarak, kendi bakıs açısı ve o `an'a ait deneyimlemeyle yorum yaptıgı bir rolü üstlenmektedir. Tüm bunlarla beraber enstalasyonlarda, mekan, kendi tasıdıgı bilgiler kadar, izleyicinin algılama ve degerlendirmelerine baglı olarak, kavram olarak da gündeme gelebilmektedir. Enstalasyon ve mekanı, seçilmis sergiler üzerinden degerlendirilmek istenmistir. Her çalısmayı, sergi açıklaması, sanatçı ya da elestirmenin yazılarıyla beraber, kendi özgün durumu içerisinde yorumlamak uygun bulunmustur. Sonuçta seçilen örnekler ve yorumları, mimarlık alanı içinde çok genis bir baslık olan mekana bakısta farklı bir zemini isaret etmektedir.

This study discusses the installation and its space. In near past, especially in the late 60s, the progress experienced in the field of art brought up differences regarding work of art and the spaces where it will be exhibited. Concurrent with these, the phenomenon of installation emerges. So the spaces other than museums and art galleries, moreover the nature of which is not to exhibit an art work, started to be chosen for exhibitions and the knowledge which these kind of spaces, itself, have, started to be highlighted such a manner that it integrated in the content of exhibition. Specific relationship was tried to be established between the art object and the space. This relationship appeared physically, functionally and semantically in terms of the knowledge which the spaces have. For the art of today, it is possible to speak about the existence of a pluralist environment, the plentiness of the meanings, the open-endness, the participation of the viewer, the dialogue of the artist as well as the interaction between the artist and the viewer during the production process. Independent from the artist, the viewer assume a role forming his/her own point of view and his/her own interpretation with the experience of that moment. Besides all these, for the installations, it can be said that depending on the perception and evaluation of the viewer, the space bring up as the concept as well as the knowledge it has. The installation and its space is tried to be evaluated through the selected exhibitions.
