Özet
Çalışmamızın temel konusu, hadis şerh geleneğinin ana hatlarıyla bir haritasının çıkartılmasıdır. Bu konu şerhin öğelerinin yoğunluk ve istihdam ediliş biçimindeki değişim takip edilerek işlenmiştir.Birinci bölümde hadislerin kitabeti, tedvini, tasnifi faaliyetleri ve ilimleşme hareketleri ile ehl-i re'y ve ehl-i hadis arasındaki gerilimin şerhin doğuşunda ve gelişimindeki etkileri üzerinde durulmuştur.İkinci bölümde belli vasıflarıyla emsallerinden üstün tutulan bazı hadis musanneflerinin şerhleri üzerinde durulmuştur. Ana temayüllerine göre gruplandırılan bu şerhler, ihtiva ettikleri öğelerin yoğunlukları ve istihdam ediliş şekilleri bakımından mukayeseli bir şekilde konu edilmiştir. Kitap merkezli niteliğinin şerhin biçim ve içeriğine etkisinin izi sürülmüştür.Üçüncü bölümde şerhin bilimsel niteliği araştırma konusu yapılmıştır. İlimler tarihinde şerhin nasıl bir konumda değerlendirildiği tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Ayrıca çalışmada ortaya konulan özellikleri itibariyle hadis şerhinin hadis ilimleri içinde nereye oturduğu meselesi ele alınmıştır. Son olarak hadis şerhinin kendisiyle ortak özelliklere sahip olan tefsir ilmiyle bir karşılaştırılması yapılmıştır.Son olarak da çalışmada elde edilen verileri değerlendirdik.

The core subject of our study is to map broadly the interpretation tradition in hadith literature. We have discussed this subject by tracing the change in usage intensity of elements of interpretation and in employment forms it took.Our study consists of three sections. In the first section we have studied the impact of recording and classification of prophetical traditions and the formation process of Islamic sciences and the tension between ahl ar-Ray and ahl al-hadith on the rise of the interpretation tradition and its development.In the second section we have dwelt on certain interpretations that are given precedence over others because of their distinctive characteristics. We have analyzed those interpretations comparatively with respect to the intensity of elements they contain and their employment forms. In addition we have traced back the impact of their being based on the book which it comments, on the form of the interpretations and its content.In the third section we have inquired the scientific state of the interpretation tradition, trying to determine place of the interpretation tradition in the history of science. Besides we have argued the place of the interpretation tradition among hadith sciences on the basis of attributes put forward in this study. Lastly we have compared hadith interpretation with The interpretation of the Koran (tafsir) which has in common same attributes.
