Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı; Fen ve Teknoloji ile Sınıf Öğretmenlerinin çevre sorunlarına yönelik tutumlarını belirlemek ve bu tutumların öğretmenlerin demografik özelliklerine göre anlamlı düzeyde fark gösterip göstermediğini araştırmaktır. Araştırma 2008?2009 eğitim-öğretim yılında, Burdur ili sınırları içerisinde bulunan Merkez İlköğretim Okullarında görev yapan 19 Fen ve Teknoloji Öğretmeni ile 191 Sınıf Öğretmeni olmak üzere toplam 210 öğretmen ile gerçekleştirilmiştir.Araştırmada ?Kişisel Bilgi ve Görüş Formu? ve 11 maddeden oluşan ?Çevre Sorunlarına Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği? kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler SPSS 15.0 programı ile analiz edilmiştir. İstatistiksel veri analizinde, tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) ve t-testi kullanılmıştır.Yapılan analizlerde elde edilen sonuçlar şunlardır:?Öğretmenlerin çevre ve çevre sorunlarına karşı tutumları yüksek bulunmuştur.?Öğretmenlerin çevre sorunlarına yönelik tutum puanları cinsiyete göre anlamlı bir fark göstermemektedir.?Öğretmenlerin çevre sorunlarına yönelik tutum puanları öğretmenlik deneyim süresine göre anlamlı bir fark göstermemektedir.?Öğretmenlerin çevre sorunlarına yönelik tutum puanları branşlara göre anlamlı bir fark göstermemektedir.?Öğretmenlerin çevre sorunlarına yönelik tutum puanları herhangi bir çevre kuruluşuna üyelik durumuna göre anlamlı düzeyde bir fark göstermemektedir.?Öğretmenlerin çevre sorunlarına yönelik tutum puanları çevre ve çevre eğitimi ile ilgili okul içi veya dışı proje çalışmalarına katılıp katılmama durumuna göre anlamlı düzeyde bir fark göstermemektedir.?Öğretmenlerin çoğu Dünya'nın, Türkiye'nin ve Burdur'un en önemli çevre sorununu doğal kaynakların kötü kullanımı olarak belirtmiştir.?Öğretmenlerin çoğu çevre konusunda bilinçlenmeye en çok katkıda bulunan aracın TV ve Radyolar olduğunu belirtmiştir.?Öğretmenlerin çoğunun çevre ile ilgili şikâyetleri herhangi bir kuruma bildirmedikleri belirlenmiştir.?Öğretmenlerin çoğu çevre konusunda toplumun duyarlılığının yetersiz, öğrencilerin duyarlılığının orta, kendilerinin duyarlılığının ise iyi olduğunu düşündüklerini belirtmişlerdir.

The aim of the study was to examine the attitudes of teachers? science and technology, and primary school teachers?, towards environmental issues and to analyze significant differences of this attitude in terms of teachers? demographic characteristics. Data for the study were collected from a sample of 210 teachers (19 science and technology, 191 primary school teachers) from the schools around Burdur City Centre in 2008-2009 academic year.In this research, ?Personal Information and Opinion Form? and ?Attitude Towards Environmental Issues? scale which consisted 11 items were used. Data was analyzed with SPSS 15.0. ANOVA and t-test were used for the analysis of the data.Results which were obtained from analysis are as follows:?Teachers? attitudes towards environment and environmental issues were high.?Teachers? attitudes towards environmental issues do not differentiate according to gender in significant level.?Teachers? attitudes towards environmental issues do not differentiate according to experience levels.?Teachers? attitudes towards environmental issues do not differentiate according to branches.?Teachers? attitudes towards environmental issues do not differentiate according to membership to any environmental institutions.?Teachers? attitudes towards environmental issues do not differentiate according to participate in school and outside school projects work about environment and environmental education.?Most of the teachers stated the most important environmental issues of the world, Turkey and Burdur as misutilization of natural resources.?Most of the teachers declared that, television and radio was the most contributing instruments for environmental consciousness.?It was found out that, most of the teachers do not inform any complaint about environment to any public services.?Most of the teachers stated that, consciousness of society in terms of environment was not enough, consciousness of students was average, and consciousness of teachers was good.
