Özet
Bu araştırma öğrencilerin baskın öğrenme stilleri ile matematik öğretmenlerinin öğretme stillerini belirlemek ve öğrenme stilleri ile öğretim stillerinin öğrencilerin matematik başarısı üzerindeki etkisini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır.İlişkisel tarama modeli ile gerçekleştirilen araştırmanın örneklemini Aydın İli merkezindeki 11 ilköğretim okulunda öğrenim gören 954 7.sınıf öğrencisi ile bu öğrencilerin derslerine giren 21 matematik öğretmeni oluşturmuştur. Araştırma 2009-2010 eğitim-öğretim yılının ikinci döneminde gerçekleştirilmiştir.Araştırmada üç veri toplama aracı kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin öğrenme stilleri Grasha-Riechmann Öğrenme Stili Envanteri, matematik başarıları Matematik Başarı Testi ile belirlenmiştir. Matematik öğretmenlerinin öğretim stillerini belirlemek için Grasha Öğretim Stili Envanteri kullanılmıştır.Araştırmanın verileri frekans, yüzde dağılımı ve tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir.Yapılan analizler sonucunda öğrencilerinin yarıya yakının katılımcı öğrenme stiline sahip olduğu, öğretmenlerin çoğunun temsilci/ kolaylaştırıcı/uzman öğretim stili grubunda yer aldığı görülmüştür. Ayrıca öğrencilerin öğrenme stilleri ile öğretmenlerinin öğretim stillerinin matematik başarısı üzerinde etkili olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The aim of this study is to determine the learning style of students as well as the teaching styles of mathematics teachers and to research the effect of both teaching and learning styles on the success of students? at mathematics.In this research the relational survey method is used. The sample of study consist of 954 7th grade students and their mathematics teachers from 11 primary schools in the central district of Aydın. This survey is performed in the second semester of 2009-2010 academic year.In this study three data collecting tools are used. To determine the learning styles of students, Grasha Riechmann Learning Style İnventory is applied, and in order to determine their mathematical success, ``The Mathematical Success Test?? is used. Grasha Teaching Style İnventory is used to identfy the teaching styles of Mathematics teachers.Research?s data has been analyzed by using frequency, percent distribution and one-way variance analysis (ANOVA)At the end of the analysis it is found that nearly half of the students have participant learning style, and most of the teachers are in the group of delegate / facilitator / expert teaching style. It is also found that students? learning styles and teachers? teaching styles are efficient on mathematical success.
