Özet
Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, ilköğretim kurumlarında görev yapmakta olan6. sınıf derslerine giren Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmenlerinin program hakkındaki görüşlerinin ve önerilerinin neler olduğunu araştırmaktır.Araştırma evrenini; 2009-2010 eğitim öğretim yılında Ankara Merkez de bulunan Çankaya, Mamak, Keçiören, Sincan, ve Yenimahalle ilçelerinde bulunan, MEB'e bağlı ilköğretim okullarının 6. sınıflarına giren Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmenleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini; Ankara Merkez de bulunan Çankaya, Mamak, Keçiören, Sincan, ve Yenimahalle ilçelerinde bulunan, 2009-2010 eğitim öğretim yılında sistematik örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilmiş 50 ilköğretim okulunda, 6.sınıfların dersine giren Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmenleri (108 kişi) oluşturmuştur.Veriler, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen veri toplama aracı (anket) yoluyla elde edilmiştir. Öğretmenlere yöneltilen anketlerde; öğretmenlerin kişisel bilgileri, programa ilişkin görüşleri, programın uygulanmasına ilişkin güçlükleri, programa ilişkin değerlendirme önerileri ele alınmıştır. Burada değişkenlere göre, öğretmenlerin görüşlerinin değişip değişmediği, bu görüşlerin arasında anlamlı bir farlılık olup olmadığı incelenmek istenmiştir.Anket sonucu elde edilen verilerin değerlendirilmesinde SPSS 11.5 paket programı kullanılmıştır. Bulguların analizinde, Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmenlerinin programla ilgili görüşleri arasındakifarklar0.05 anlamlılık düzeyinde ?t testi? kullanılarak karşılaştırılmıştır. Frekans (f) ve yüzde (%) dağılımlarına ait tablolar oluşturulmuş ve bunlar yorumlanmaya çalışılmıştır.Araştırma sonunda, ilköğretim okullarında uygulanmakta olan bu program hakkında, genel olarak Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmenleri içerisinde mezun olunan bölüme göre, cinsiyete göre, hizmet yılına göre görüş farklılıkları olduğu ve bu farklılıkların genelde olumlu yönde geliştiği sonucuna varılabilir. Programın değerlendirme öğesine ilişkin olarak, öğretmenlerin diğer öğelere göre daha olumsuz görüş sahibi oldukları göze çarpmaktadır. Sonuçlara dayanılarak öneriler de bulunulmuştur.

The main objective of this study is to investigate the opinions and recommendations of teachers of social sciences teaching to the sixth graders in primary schools as permanent staff.Cosmos of the study consists of the Social Sciences Teachers teaching to the students of the sixth grade in primary schools under the Ministry of National Education in Çankaya, Mamak, Keçiören, Sincan, and Yenimahalle sub provinces of the provincial center of Ankara in the academic year of 2009/10. Sampling of the study consists of the Social Sciences Teachers teaching to the students of the sixth grade in 50 primary schools that were selected with systematic sampling method among the primary schools in Çankaya, Mamak, Keçiören, Sincan, and Yenimahalle sub provinces of the provincial center of Ankara in the academic year of 2009/10 (108 individuals in total).Data were obtained with the data collection tool (questionnaire) that was developed by the researcher. Questionnaires applied to the teachers handles that personal information regarding the teachers, their opinions related to the program, their difficulties in the practice of the program, and their evaluations and recommendations about the program. Here, it was attempted to evaluate whether or not the opinions of the teachers have changed according to variables, and whether or not significant differences exist between these opinions.SPSS 11.5 package program was used to assess the data obtained from the application of the questionnaire. When analyzing the findings, differences between the opinions of the social sciences teachers related to the program were compared using the ?t-test? with a significance level of 0.05. Tables were created related to the distributions of frequency (f) and percentage (%), and it was attempted to interpret these tables.At the end of this study, it can be concluded that differences do exist in the opinions of social sciences teachers in general regarding this program that is currently being applied in primary schools according to the departments they have been graduated from, gender, and number of years passed in service, and these differences develop in a positive way in general. As regards the assessment element of the program, it is notable that teachers have more negative opinions. Recommendations based on results have been given.
